Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston by IHG

Check-in was super easy and the lady at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was comfy. There were some issues with the shower (heat/water pressure) and the ice machine on floor 9 (broken) and no complimentary water (although the bartender was VERY nice and filled up my water bottle with ice water). Parking was easy and the location was convenient and great for the price. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

This hotel has a great location, very close to the Ballston metro station. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were clean. The building itself is older and is in need of updating, but I would stay here again.

I had a very bad experience with the check in . I was given the 5th floor . When attempting to go up the elevator did not work. Had to take 5 carryons up 5 flights of stairs. When I go to the room the room key is not active or was not set up correctly had to go down once again 5 flights os stairs to get this straighten out and then go back up 5 flight of stairs. Not a very good experience and to top it all off . The breakfast was not included with my stay.

Room was great. Only thing that was unpleasant was the smell of cigarettes by the elevators, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. It seems that guests go outside to smoke and it seeps in. Perhaps they can use some fans by the doors to push the air out.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room. Only issue i had was my key card not working twice, but they resolved it quickly both times no issues

Front desk phone out of service for days. Lobby smelled of pot smoke, dilapidated decor, bathroom tub and fixtures were corroded. The hotel needs a significant refresh. This property is a blight on the Holiday Inn brand.

They were not clear about $100 security deposit, The tvs were outdated. The air conditioning didn’t work. The water pressure was weak, and the breakfast was booked to be complimentary but instead it would’ve costed to eat.

For me the service was very bad I didn't have hot water during my stay, neither at night nor in the morning, I was going with my two children and we had to bathe them at 5:30 am with cold water and we were at very low temperatures, I called the front desk and the only thing they told me was that the maintenance staff arrived only until 8:00 am, terrible service

If the room was clean , the staff was so sweet especially Fernandine at the reception is a lady from central Africa she was amazing and very professional she loved her very much, she always received us with a beautiful smile I plan to return to DC and I hope to stay there the only thing I did not like is that you have to pay for the parking as it degrades the hotel a lot but the rest perfect .💖

Nice staff & convenient location to the nearby schools & Balson market area. Laundry available. Older property, but rooms are still clean. (Multiple visits). Ample parking & close to the Metro too. Enjoyed the gym. Pool available, but I've rarely used it. Will most likely stay here again.
