Beautiful Inn, central located to restaurants, shopping, and historical attractions. Friendly staff, nice rooms and beds are very comfortable. The atrium of the hotel is lovely to seat and absorb the atmosphere. Managers cocktail hour offers a generous charcuterie broad, with wine, beer and soft drinks. We would return back to Indigo Inn again.

We stayed in room #214 in the Indigo Inn. The only window in the room has a view of the corridor containing the elevator shaft and kitchen with almost no natural light. The area outside the door to our room was used as storage for food catering tables. The amount of noise external noise from our room was unbearable. We could hear every word of every conversation had from the corridor as well as the kitchen noise, and doors being slammed shut throughout the night. I woke up several times from the noises. They could only partially be blocked out by the loud AC unit, operating at 60+ decibels. My second night I purchased ear plugs and slept better. The noise was obviously still a nuisance while I wasn’t sleeping. All the staff did was offer to reimburse my $4 ear plugs. Needless to say, I won’t be staying here ever again.

A gem in downtown Charleston. Close to all attractions. Very nice staff. Great service. Love the courtyard and overall ambiance. Breakfast and wine/cheese in the evening were great. Highly recommend this property.

This was a wonderful place to spend a night in Charleston. Very quaint rooms were clean wonderful little area where they serve happy hour wine and cheese. Great little breakfast in the morning. Close proximity to historic Charleston.

Absolutely beautiful, quiet and close to everything we wanted to do.

Great location and easy walk to shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and happy hour had lots of options. Beds were comfortable, room mostly clean but floors were not as clean as I would’ve liked upon arrival. Overall, happy with our stay and would recommend to others!

Staff went above and beyond! Very cute hotel.

Such a charming inn! Everything was wonderful - staff, location, decor, all of it!

The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast foods were good with really good coffee, however the area was small and difficult to maneuver since it was adjacent to the elevator and people were all trying to gather to get items. If the weather was nice, sitting in the courtyard to eat was enjoyable, otherwise the lobby area was small with not much seating. The backs of the air units lined the hallway to the rooms and their exhaust was really hot so the walk to your room felt like a sauna! Front staff were always helpful and polite and the hotel was really close to good restaurants and places of interest. We walked most everywhere.

The hotel and stuff are lovely. It’s a great inn except the courtyard inside is almost unusable as all AC units face into it and it is unbearably noisy and hot. Rooms are nice and so is the happy hour and decent breakfast. AC inside the room is very loud too. Otherwise it’s great.

Breakfast just right; wine and cheese lovely; parking close.

This was such a charming stay! The location is perfect to walk to all local attractions and dining and the college of Charleston. The afternoon platter provided a lovely appetizer and the morning breakfast and unlimited coffee was super helpful. I will stay here again in the future. The courtyard was lovely. Check in and check out was very easy we were even able to check in a bit early per request.

The booking process was simple. However, when we checked in we had the last room available and the bathroom light had a strobe effect; they didn't know if it could be repaired during our 4 day stay so moved us to the Jasmine House, which was an upgrade. Larger room, extra amenities. The manager (Julie) at the Indigo Inn was completely empathetic and responsive, which we appreciated. It was a much nicer property than the Indigo Inn, though it should be noted that the rooms at Indigo Inn were nice and clean. It was nice having onsite in-and-out parking.

Being a historic inn, untouched by some of the gleaming conveniences and standardized comforts of a Hilton or Embassy Suites, it possessed for us a far richer charm. Nestled in the very heart of Charleston’s historic district, it offered the quiet grace of a smaller, less crowded refuge, where the pace seemed gentler and the city’s past lingered just beyond the doorstep. Easy parking, a generous complimentary breakfast, evening cookies and milk that recalled simpler times, and a staff whose kindness never felt rehearsed combined to make it, for us, the perfect place from which to experience the enduring spirit of Charleston.

The hotel exterior and courtyard for the historic character of the neighborhood, but rooms were clean and modern.
