Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Chester, VA

We made a reservation to stay at this hotel for one week and we checked out after one night because the cleanliness of the entire hotel (but especially the rooms) was horrible. Imagine staying at a hotel where you could let nothing touch the walls for a week because the actual walls were super gross. The one upside is that the staff was very understanding and helped us get a refund on our hotel room so we could go to another location. However, the owners of this hotel needs to work on updating broken furniture, repairing things in rooms that are (because there were a lot of things that were broken including carpet, coming up on the floor), and cleaning the actual rooms better, such as wiping down the walls and cleaning sticky carpet.

The hotel was very clean, but showed its age. Staff were kind and courteous. The pool and hot tub were clean. But both were FREEZING, as a result we couldn't utilize either while we were there, which is unfortunate because that is the main reason we picked this hotel. The breakfast was simple, but good! Cereals, hot foot options, waffles, the normal breakfast buffet. It's a clean quiet place to lay your head with a lot of quick food options nearby if you are traveling through.

Ice machine didn’t work. Shower head had very weak stream. Bed was comfortable tho

I was highly disappointed with this stay. The pictures on the website is not the actual hotel and location. I've used Hotel.com more times than many and I had never came across the misrepresentation of a stay. The hotel itself is old and antiqued. The surrounding area is rundown. I am highly disappointed in this recommendation. It was a good thing that I wasn't traveling alone!!!

The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom, such as the floor of the shower which looked dirty, and we put a towel down to stand on. Lots of repairs needed, like the towel bar in the bathroom, the vanity mirror was crooked, etc. Missed breakfast the first day because it didn't start until 7, and had to leave by 6:30 am. It was fine for just needing a place to stay, but overall didn't feel clean or updated.

We had food left on the refrigerator. Never had our bed changed and also asked for more Shampoo and conditioner never got it. Also towels in room were dirty. The pool was cold and the hot tub was not working

Parking can get tight if they havexa full house. Staff does everything possible to make your stay great.

The man at the front desk was great! He was accommodating and patient. He made sure everyone was taken care of in a timely manner and very professional. I wish I could remember his name but he was working a double shift and did not seem stressed or overwhelmed.

Hot tub didn’t work pool was freezing

Clean the rooms better the first one they put is in was damaged and had a weird smell and ant problem but then they put us in another room that was great smelled better and clean

Hard to get to, if your not familiar with this area,you would have a hard time finding it.

The rooms are large and it was very clean Trying to get in and out of the parking lot. And the pillows were flat.

I appreciated the value and cleanliness, as well as the included breakfast The front desk associate repeatedly said my room number out loud, with a line of people behind me, while asking if I’m traveling alone. As a female, I didn’t appreciate my safety potentially being at risk. Room numbers should be shown, not spoken, no one else should know where a solo traveler is headed.
