Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/N Loop/Michigan Ave

Great stay. This was my second time staying at this location. Dionte was amazing and showed great courtesy for the duration of the stay. Elizabeth was also very nice and courteous. Breakfast was fresh and the breakfast attendant was made sure we had fresh breakfast and kept the area tidy. I will be returning back to this location soon. Thank you for making my stay feel like home away from home. See you soon!!!

Joanna was extremely helpful in sorting the situation out. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and found the location of the property to be close to the attractions we wanted to see.

Elevators barely worked and the rooms are noisy. Cars racing and garbage being picked up all night.

Expensive but excellent location for touring downtown Chicago. Nice city view from room. Hop-on hop-off bus just around corner. River boat tour 5 minute walk. Millenial park and art museum 15 minutes easy walking. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within 10 minute walk. Breakfast nothing special and no restaurant in building. We relied on valet parking. Not an easy city to drive around as a visitor and it looks like Uber has replaced taxi services.

This property was perfect for our time in Chicago. I will return! It was convenient to get to all the events and venues we wanted to see. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was delish. The room was perfect. You could tell it was an older property, some paint and fixture issues. But those didn't interfere with the stay.

El hotel es perfecto para dormir y salir a conocer; las habitaciones son cómodas e incluyen todo lo necesario. Lo único que no nos gustó fue que el personal ni siquiera saluda cuando te ven y se ven muy serios y que en tres días no recibimos limpieza en la habitación.

We also had issues with room cleaning. Staff asked what time we wanted the room cleaned because we were still in the room when they first came by. We told them anytime after 1 PM. We left for several hours and returned around 7 PM to find the room had still not been cleaned and was left a mess. Another disappointment was that the room we received was smaller than the room advertised online when booking. The front desk staff was nice and professional, so most of the issues seemed to be related to housekeeping rather than customer service.

location Stay was bad. Room service wasn't available despite asking for it on multiple occasion. Window sill was broken and sharp. Toilet was disgusting.

Valet couldn’t take our car (don’t travel in Chicago with a U-Haul lmao), but directed us to a good parking structure that did. The AC was broken in the first room we were assigned, but the receptionist very quickly changed our room which was so much nicer.

Breakfast was good, the room was clean. Good place to lay your head. We have stayed in downtown Chicago many times and never stayed anywhere where there was so much street noise. It sounded like people were drag racing every night. Maybe the hotel can’t do anything about that, but it puts us off staying there. Housekeeping was every other day, although you could get your towels refreshed every day. That was good, because there were not enough towel racks or hooks to hang towels for a family of four. There was a lack of clarity about accessing the valet parking, so I had an unnecessary parking charge while we were checking in.
