Everything was perfect! Only hiccup was check-in was a big delayed and after 4pm but they gave us free champagne.

This hotel needs to be renovated. It’s very outdated. Ceiling is peeling. Carpet is so old. We changed rooms because the AC is broken in many rooms. It’s a hotel with history but just come for the high tea and experience the lobby. Don’t stay here.

Great stay!! We had just a quick overnight and everything was great!

The Brown Palace is truly a timeless experience showcasing beautiful architecture and preserved history. Most staff were virtuous. Concierge not very helpful. Variety of restaurants on site. Definitely worth a visit:)

Built in 1892, the Brown Palace has seen better days. The bathroom sink had cracks that encompassed the bowl. The ceiling had several patches of paint ready to fall, in addition to stains. One curtain rod was partially snapped off. There were few amenities i.e. shower cap. Staff processed my bill incorrectly. This is a Marriott BonVoy property.

The Brownstone Palace is an architectural gem, which would be a pleasure to stay in, but is poorly managed and not well maintained. Our first room on this stay had a damaged shower, and so after one night we were moved to a another room which also had a damaged shower door and a bathroom door which did not properly close (see attached photos). The new room was also lacking robes, and when it came time to replace towels and a bath mat, the first night we received one bath towel for two people, no bath mat, and no new hand towels. The second night, we received neither bath nor hand towels, this after we had already complained about the first night. Nor for our troubles, were offered any offsetting compensation or upgrade. Before we booked at the Brownstone, relatives who had stayed there warned us to check our final bill very carefully since they were almost double-charged for some items. When we received our final bill, we also would have been double-charged for the last two nights. Also, a $15 credit we were promised for each night was not accredited on the final bill. The hotel manager did double the credit when he was made aware of the omission and removed the double-charges for the room, but be warned: If you decide to stay at the Brownstone Palace, check your final bill very carefully. We mention all these negatives very sadly because the hotel is so beautiful, and the staff so friendly, that we would love to stay at the Brownstone Palace the next time we are in Denver.

The building is impressive and so is the history. We were not given the room that we booked and were given an older room that was not renovated. It wasn’t until I mentioned it hours after checking in to the front desk that they moved us to the correct room. Then the room that they “upgraded” us to had a door that you had to practically jam open and shut. It was very upsetting that this wouldn’t be addressed unless I said something. I called the manager of the properties to make them aware of what happened and of course I never heard back. Thanks Sam at front desk for helping us.

On this stay there were problems. Our room had a broken shower door (Why did they put us into such a room?) and at breakfast both our food and the food at the table next to us came out cold. The hotel seemed overwhelmed.

The Brownstone Palace Hotel is a beautiful facility, really something worth seeing and knowing about for its architecture and history. However, our room was small and cramped, and though we were told that there was a water station on every floor, there was none on ours, and I had to go searching for one on another floor. Breakfast was not included at our price range (still not inexpensive for the size and appointments of the room), though purchased a la carte, it was delicious and well-served.

Valet parking, checking in and getting a champagne, having many options for dining. The hotel restaurants are a 10 out of 10. Rooms are a nice size and clean. Bed comfortable. The room was a little chilly for me. Could not control the temp.

I wrote a review and waiting to hear back regarding overcharge on my cc an yet no response

Upon entering this hotel, we were overwhelmed by the smell of mildew and cigarettes. After checking in, we went up to our room to find we were not in the correct room. We called down to the front desk and were told that our room had been given away and that was the room that they had for us. At this point, they did not offer to refund us any of the cost for our upgraded room. After arguing back-and-forth, they finally agreed to reduce the rate but did not have our room available as they have over sold. Various members of the staff said that this hotel over sells and has people without rooms or without the correct room pretty frequently. In our room the shower door, toilet and towel holders were all broken. Our room stunk of sewage and maintenance man could not find out why. However, the maintenance man was very nice and agreed that, yes in fact our room did smell like sewage. We had zero hot water and there was a strange beeping noise in our room all night. We stayed one night and moved to a new hotel the next day. Do not stay at this hotel! Staff exceedingly rude, it stinks, it’s filthy and broken down and you may not even have a room if you do book there.

This property failed us in so many ways. Where is the general manager? Who is driving this historic ship? So expensive for so little. The valet service, room service and high tea service were very good. Nothing else was. Not worth the money. No basic amenities like water or soap for $690 a night. $69 resort fee for WHAT???? Not even a bottle of water in room. Much less than a holiday Inn. Just ridiculously over priced and had no value. Very very disappointed. Did not even get the room type I paid for. They need to fire the general manager and start over.

I mean… at this point you stay for the lobby! It’s awesome!
