Hampton Inn & Suites Des Moines Downtown

We loved our stay!

We stayed at the Hampton from Saturday to Sunday. The staff was very kind, and the hotel is very well maintained. One major issue is that they had all of the street parking blocked for an event that was happening downtown. The parking garage costs 20 dollars to park overnight. I also paid for insurance for a previous stay and had to cancel due to getting COVID and they didn’t honor the insurance claim.

liked the fact that the street parking was very close to hotel and that was very convenient and meant we didn't have to pay the hotel for parking fees. Good location, close to some nice reastaurants. Pleasant and convenient.

The beds! Especially the comforter! The room was also very quiet and great temperatures controll. Hard to find, parking was limited and not the simplest task.

The location served our purpose. The breakfast was good. The room temperature could be controlled. The beds and pillows were horrible, the rooms next to us were under construction or being renovated or some kind of maintenance, the hotel definitely needed some TLC.

The breakfast was awesome everyday and the rooms were pretty clean even though they were doing a little bit of remodeling when I stayed, they were able to keep it pretty clean

Loved the location on the river. It is within 2 blocks of the farmer's market and great view of the fireworks after the baseball game Friday night.

Close to restaurants and nightlife. Clean and updated

Great location to many spots downtown Tried to call for early check had to go hotel got the early check in but its hard to answer the phone that is purposely left off the hook

Great downtown location. Parking was surprisingly easy and available- even on a weekend.

The stay was great! Everyone was very accommodating and they have a special love for fur babies. I especially appreciated the night staff. The view was perfect, Thanks for a wonderful stay

Location is everything. It is walkable to a lot of the places near by. They have parking. Bed was comfortable. Construction blocked most of the easy entrances. Were not informed about needing to park higher up to get access to the room, had to find out ourselves. Room had zero personality. Had to walk far to get to the room. Was not able to use breakfast due to our schedule.
