I first contacted Expedia to see if I could cancel without penalty and book somewhere with an earlier check-in time, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. I then asked if they could contact the hotel regarding early check-in. The Expedia representative called the hotel and later confirmed that they had spoken with someone in charge, who stated that I could check in anytime after 8:00 AM for an additional $15 fee. I confirmed this arrangement and even took screenshots of the conversation for reference. Because of that confirmation, I stopped looking for alternative accommodations and felt reassured that I would have somewhere to stay upon arrival. The next morning, I arrived at the hotel around 11:00 AM and requested the early check-in that had been approved the night before. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The front desk employee immediately became dismissive and raised her voice, telling me that my room was not ready. When I tried to explain the agreement that Expedia had confirmed with the hotel, she repeatedly interrupted me and stated that she didn’t care what Expedia had said because “Expedia doesn’t run the hotel.”

No hot water

Be careful. They will charge your credit card for no reason. This happened to me multiple times.

The hotel is very nice and has an excellent location; it is a shame it was undergoing renovations. I think guests should be accommodated in the area not currently being renovated. The pool needs maintenance, and the gym is missing equipment and requires maintenance.

Good everything was fine closer to the end of checkout. There was a pest problem. Small roaches were appearing in bathroom and kitchen. Everything else was great.

Had to stay other night at the same hotel. Paid same price for degraded room, room wasn’t ready by the check-in time, the concierge didnt care about room being not ready by the check-in time. Had to wait 40 mins to check-in. No apology. The room had outlet on the lamp and cannot fit multiple charger.

First room 629 had roaches. Got put in another room hotel is out dated. Needs a upgrade badly . Had a food buffet cant take food to your room like other sonesta. Never will return .

They are in the process of doing renovations so it was a bit noisy throughout the night. I stayed in a suite and the tub was a bit dirty and it had a awkward smell throughout the hotel. The pool floor was dirty and the hot tub was closed and the feee breakfast buffet for the suite was very limited but ok! I’ll rate this hotel at 6/10

A crappy hotel in Duluth, GA. Was supposed to get a king bed with balcony, but didn't get it. Hotel is very old and it's quite loud, called the front desk several times because of the next door room. The gym was dirty and only one treadmill worked. Breakfast was okay, nothing special

Bed was comfy and clean. But the rooms and bathrooms are outdated. They are remodeling the general areas.

If your staying here just one night or to sleep and that's it, its ok for the price. The ONLY reason I gave it the extra star was because our room was nice, spacious and the breakfast at the Art Bar is great. The signs do say the hotel is under renovation but that doesn't prepare you for how disappointed you will be once you walk through the door. As we were walking in there was an abandon car right at the front entrance the whole 3 days we were there. A lady was telling front desk they arent staying even if they charge her for the night and almost ran out. One elevator working, walls have water damage everywhere you look. The jacuzzi is bordered up with spray paint do not enter. The pool NEEDS to be shut down too! The water is standing water, and is connected to the indoor pool-that had particles at the top and green algae at the bottom! At night some children went in, the pool was dark and they were basically in Algae and didn't know it! The building looks like a jail, hopefully the outside is getting renovated too because its awful. I would not stay here again, if research done right you can definatley find something better for the price. I will say it is conveniently located walkable distance near restaurants etc.

The rooms were dated and damaged, peeling paint, damp carpet.

Hotel was under renovation at the time, and the pool did not look appealing and the whirlpool was out of order at the time as well

The entire property is under renovation which is fine but they're still putting people in rooms that are frankly disgusting they have mold in the bathrooms mold in the vents broken down barely you know good Furniture the box springs look stained there was stuff under the beds it smelled we had to change rooms the odor was so bad probably cuz of the mold no hot water barely came to lukewarm the pool's an awful condition all the pictures you see online don't even come close to representing how the property is today it was absolutely one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Completely misrepresented.

It was amazing

First night, all the water sources in my room were cold. I let them run for a good amount of time and adjusted several times. In the morning, I reported it, the staff quickly fixed the problem but the water went back to being cold a day after. I reported it again but this time the water was lukewarm and would not get hot. This goes for the shower, bathroom sink and kitchenette. Staff always responded quickly but the issue was not resolved. Lastly, I wish there were meat alternatives for the breakfast like turkey or chicken sausage.

Staff was nice and room was clean

Location was perfect for my stay It’s ok. Definitely needs a little touching up. However, they are currently being renovated.

The breakfast was so-so on Sunday, but on Monday morning it was phenomenal!! The staff at the front desk left a little to be desired, but when our toliet stopped filling for some reason they had a maintenance member up there promptly to have it fixed before we returned. The pool was still closed when we went, and the whole hotel is under renovation. So glad we got an updated room, but our TV in the living room had a dark burnt in screen. We managed to deal with it . Staff wasn’t as friendly as they should have been, and they don’t really explain the check in process well. We got lost trying to find our room twice before we finally got a good enough explanation of how to get where we were going. The front desk clerk seemed kinda annoyed we asked though. We also were in an accessible room when we didn’t ask for it, so everything was sorta low and oddly laid out.
