The property is immaculately maintained, with an excellent staff and wonderful hosts (Jim and Leslie). Easy drive to Durango, hot springs, Purgatory ski slopes, etc make this one of my favorite B-N-Bs. The morning breakfast is just cherries on top!

The moment we arrived; Jim warmly welcomed us and invited us to enjoy a homemade cookie. He also showed us where we could find bottled water. My husband and I stayed in the Macintosh Room, a comfortable and beautifully decorated room on the second floor. It was quiet, cozy, and inviting. The bathroom was roomy, the towels were soft and fluffy, and the apple-shaped key ring was absolutely adorable. The photos online accurately represent how beautifully the property is landscaped and maintained. After our long drive, we spent more than an hour relaxing by the small pond. It didn't just look beautiful—it felt peaceful and restorative. Located about 10 miles north of Durango in Hermosa, the inn has a relaxed country atmosphere. The grounds feature an apple orchard, a small pond, babbling brooks, wildflowers, thoughtfully placed trees and rose bushes for privacy, and even a chicken coop that provides farm-fresh eggs. The made-to-order breakfast was absolutely delicious. Thank you, Leslie, for the wonderful meal. Leslie cooked while Jim served, and together they made a great team. We highly recommend the Apple Orchard Inn and can't wait to return.

Not a thing

It was so gorgeous! We stayed in the personal cottage and it was gorgeous and cozy and romantic. And the whole property was a vacation in itself as there was a bunch to do

I loved how beautiful the property was. The owners were very nice and accommodating, and the breakfasts were delicious.

We've stayed at Apple Orchard Inn during previous Durango visits and have always found it to be most accommodating and pleasant. The rooms are spotless, the bed, room temp and bathroom are excellent and breakfast, while not elaborate, is quite satisfactory. We've found the owners to be very pleasant and easy to work with. Apple Orchard Inn probably is the best B&B in Durango and we will continue to stay there when we visit our daughter.

The owners were most friendly and readily available. The breakfast was superb. The cottage and grounds, including the babbling brook past the front door, were beautiful. Could not have asked for a better stay

Yes it was very clean and a wonderful place to stay. The owners are really nice and and very knowledgeable about the area.

Beautiful place, extremely nice hosts

Room was a stand alone cottage with a comfortable bed, front and back porch, cute creek running across the proprrty. Breakfast made to order. It was perfect.

Wonderful hosts. Very friendly and helpful. Beautiful establishment

Mattresd was a little on the stiff side. Also, the owners were kind enough to allow us to invite friends (staying elsewhere) over for breakfast, but they were grossly overcharged for a breakfast burrito. Not even close to being worth $25 a head. Also fair warning, and maybe it's just me, but for light sleepers wanting to sleep in, be wary of the chicken/rooster coop on the south side of the property. I wasn't a fan of the 4 am cockadoodledoo-ing.

Tasty and basic.

Breakfast was great. Served downstairs and made to order. The grounds were beautiful. We felt safe. Everything was great.

Excellent food

The scenery and ambiance of the inn was great. Breakfast was a disappointment. It was a very small breakfast burrito wrapped in foil with fast food style packets of salsa, coffee or juice. I’ve had better breakfasts at much cheaper chain hotels. Seemed very frugal and sub-par.

My only complaint is that it would have been nice to have access to tea and coffee prior to breakfast time.
