Spark by Hilton Evansville East, IN

The room was on the third floor, and the elevator was not working. We were also located near a stairwell door that slammed frequently throughout our stay, making it difficult to relax. On the positive side, the hotel is tucked away in a quiet industrial area, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and a Walmart only a few minutes away.

The elevator was out of service and our suite was only available on the third floor. We agreed to a regular room on the first floor with no offer of rebate. Generally speaking the cleanliness of the property was suspect. Twice cleaning supplies were left on our room and the bathroom floor smelled of foul mop water. We switched one night to a different hotel and had to get Expedia involved to get a refund from the hotel.

The hotel itself was fine. The elevator was broke and the only available rooms, we were told, was on the 3rd floor. It was a long haul up the stairs since I was alone. The breakfast was nothing warm. It was just a variety of cereal options and some bagels/bread for toast. I would probably stay again if I had to, but wish I would have known ahead of time on the breakfast/elevator!

The hotel was very clean. The staff was nice. The only problems were the elevator was out of service on one of my two stays. Also the breakfast is disappointing. I mean the price was very good and the hotel and staff were great for the price point. I just wish if you going to say you have breakfast make some sort of effort.

Location Elevator didn’t work

The rooms and decor in the lobby was outstanding. The front desk guy said there was a indoor and outdoor pool they're both closed at 10:00 come to find out there was only an outdoor pool which is okay but I don't understand why he told us there was an indoor pool as well also we ordered online and when we got there he told us that since we ordered it online that we could not have a refund and that we have a room that was on the third floor but the elevator was broke down and my wife is 6 months pregnant with twins and we had to use the stairs. And was trying to check out but it 10:00 till noon while we were moving our things out our key was deactivated so I had to run all the way down to three flights of stairs to get it reactivated only to find out once I got back upstairs that the key was not activated and had to run back downstairs again other than that the stay was great. Really just think we deserved some kind of a discount for the elevator being broke down or at least been able to have a room that was on the first floor.

elevator was not working, I felt really bad for the elderly and people that really need the elevator, we were on the third floor. besides that everything was great, location is wonderful, in the middle of everything.
