The facility was clean, comfortable and offered good value
-
Shower curtain bar was loose, Letting the curtain fall into bath tub. Toilet flapper valve was broken, and the toilet flushed gently every 5 minutes all night long

Room was very clean

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel for the value price to pay. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are quiet, they’re very spacious, the breakfast was adequate with several choices, we only stayed one night, but it was a comfortable inconvenient stop along our way.

15 years ago, this was one of the nicest places to stay in Fruita. Due to moving, I stayed there two nights in the past 2 months through a deal on Hotels.com. The staff need personality and professionalism training. The doors and walls are trashed. Obviously, La Quinta and local management have made the financial decision to let this place go totally down hill. Newer towels do not make up for finding someone else's hair in the shower. Distressed lumpy mattress. Weird allotment of furniture. And--big thing for me--is that across from their parking lot there are literally 6 to 12 eighteen-wheeler trucks with their diesel engines and freezer compartments running all day and night. This situation creates a continuous dull background noise and vibration. Trust me--I also tried camping at the state park next door a couple years ago and had the same issue. The outdoorsy people that visit this area are often repeat customers, La Quinta in Fruita should step up to the plate. I can shower and try to sleep at a hostel. Good part is nearby establishments that offer a positive customer experience: Einsteins Bagels, Starbucks and El Tapatio are within walking distance.

Room was ok. Unfortunately, I noticed a very large brown stain on the bottom of the mattress (when the sheets came up a little). Overall, the hotel is in a good location but I didn’t feel it was very clean.
