Silver Spruce Inn

The Silver Spruce holds a lot of good memories for me. I’ve stayed there many times. The breakfast is always nice and the atmosphere is great! It was very relaxing to be there. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Every time I went to the front office there was someone there to help. Especially for the price, the Silver Spruce is great all around! Oh, and we love how close it is to the hot springs, shops, and parks. It was nice not having to drive much once we arrived.

It's a convenient place to stay and has the basics you'll need. Breakfast space isn't big enough for all the people and food is under whelming.

It’s an ok place to stay. Breakfast is disappointing if you like continental breakfast. They have the smallest options I’ve seen. Boiled eggs, toast, waffle and the regular cereals. Not a lot of options. The best thing I enjoyed are the towels they’re soft. The location is very close to downtown maybe 12-20 min walk. My relatives stayed at Laquinta which is the next door hotel they actually look nice. I would compare both before you booked. But overall we had a restful sleep which is important. 3/5 score!

Great, cute place to stay for our family vacation. Walls were freshly painted, room was a bit dated but it fit the bill and I felt like I was in Switzerland!

It was a clean and pleasant place to stay. The staff is friendly, and they are good about cleaning the rooms. It's also close enough to walk to most of the tourist locations. The only issue was the power went out for a couple of hours due to the heat, but that was out of their control.

The breakfast is simple, so don't expect a hot buffet, but there was a nice selection of bagels, pastries, cereal, fruit, coffee, and hard-boiled eggs, which was more than enough to start the day. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout my stay. Another big plus is the location—it's within walking distance of Iron Mountain Hot Springs, making it a convenient place to stay if you're planning to visit the hot springs. Overall, a clean, comfortable, quiet and well-kept hotel with excellent service.

Pro: quick and easy checking in/out. Room as described with 3 queen beds, spacious and clean bedsheets and restroom. The fridge is nice to have. We can store ice packs and get ice since their nearby ice machine was out of order during our stay. Breakfast was included and decent variety of bread and waffle maker choices. There’s a cappuccino maker, coffee, orange juice, yogurt. Plenty of parking and it’s complimentary. The hotel is close to Iron Mountain hot springs and walking distance to Glenwood caverns. Con: shower/tub drainage was quite slow. There’s an old electric burner but no pan/pot, cookware. Not sure why it was there. The coffee maker is quite dirty inside and no coffee, sugar, etc. The staff mentioned they’re at the front desk. Hair dryer didn’t work and we found out the last day of our stay so we didn’t ask for a new one.

Location is great! It is away from the bustle of downtown yet one can easily walk across the foot bridge into the downtown area. Good restaurants are also within easy walking distance as are both commercial hot springs establishments.

A great little hotel. Close to everything and clean and great price. We’re glad we discovered it.

Our room was not ready when we got there, we had to wait 30 minutes for it to be cleaned. We arrived at 10:30pm. The room was unbearably hot, we asked for a fan to help cool it down along with the ac. The apologized and did give us $20.00 for the inconvenience. Besides that, it was a decent place to stay.
