Inn By The Sea La Jolla

Excellent service!

The check-in process was top notch. After a 4+ hour drive the staff worked together to allow us to check-in early so we could unpack our 6 year old and easily change him for the pool. One of the cleanest hotels we have been in. Everyone working there was welcoming. Thank you!

Under construction

It was fantastic for a solo trip. Extension of a business trip and wonderful to visit La Jolla again. I was fortunate to get the last parking spot. Unclear what would have happened if it wasn’t available. Would honestly be nicer if the hotel booked some spots in the local garages.

Love that the hotel is conveniently located to park your vehicle and walk to shop or eat. Also able to walk down to the beach and see all the seals.

Great staff and location in La Jolla. The room had ocean views but was a bit dated. After they finish renovation, they’ll likely deserve 5 stars.

The location can’t be beat. Combine this with the new remodel, on site parking and access to a GREAT local gym and this is a great place to stay in La Jolla.

Great rooms, friendly personnel, and a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and fun.

Close to shops, grocery. Still under renovation, for the price breakfast should come with the stay.

We needed a hotel exactly where Inn by the Sea is. The room was recently renovated and you could tell. The room was clean and quiet. Hotel staff were very helpful, we needed change for washers and some directions. Quick to recommend good restaurants nearby. They arranged transportation for us to the airport all done with a smile.

I love this hotel, however it is under construction currently so be aware before booking

My concern was the parking when I booked, but there were sufficient parking spaces located conveniently.

Safe location

Room was clean, quiet and newly remodeled. Didn’t get notified the property was fully under construction, was told in a message on the app there was “some” renovation taking place but none of the amenities would be affected. The entire parking lot and parking structure was closed, equipment and dumpsters as far as the eye could see. Yet somehow still had to pay an additional $20 per night to park our vehicle in a lot they shared with neighbor business.

Location and staff Felt out dated wth lots of brown!

Location is perfect for walking to restaurants and beach. The property is under construction and we were not told before booking. They were remodeling the room directly above us and drilling and sawing started at 8 am every morning except Sat….parking is under construction so there are really only about 10 parking spots, I got two tickets bc parking on the street is 2 hrs only starting at 8AM. I parked in one of the 10 available spots and staff called my room for me to move saying my truck was too big.

Room was nice, staff was nice The rooms were nice, except there are no electrical plugs near the nightstands. I wish I would have been told about the coffee in the lobby in the morning.
