AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, a Marriott Hotel

Housekeeping never cleaned our room once. That was a bit disappointing for the price of stay at this hotel not to come back from a long day of sightseeing to a clean room. Other than that, the hotel was beautiful and the staff were very kind.

Loved our stay at the AC. Just a few notes, the hotel room itself was on the smaller side, and the bathrooms were interesting. There wasn’t a bathroom necessarily, the sink was outside and the shower itself was its own room, so you’d have to get undressed in the hotel room then go into the shower “room”. Keep an eye for that when you are booking if that is something that is important to you. Along with that once we completed our stay, we received the invoice and found out we had been charged an extra $200 for the trip. We knew valet would be $60 a day, that is what the front desk agent had told us about. It was also mentioned there would be a “destination fee” which is an additional $35 a day. From what we were told, we understood that this fee is a one time fee that could be used towards breakfast (which is $25 per person might it add, not complimentary) as well as “parking tax” which is $6 a day, and “GST” which is 5.60 a day.

City view rooms were amazing with floor to ceiling glass. Extremely comfortable beds and a warm welcome from reception. It must be noted that location is central for transportation, but homeless people are numerous in area by the station, staff seemed reluctant to let people go out after dark and head in that direction. A direct bus to disneyland departs just around corner. Bars are very expensive in hotel.

Electric charge station was down. One of reasons I pick this place. And it took 30 minutes to get my car back from valle.

I traveled a lot last month and this was the fifth hotel that I stayed in on my trip. This hotel was by far my favorite. I am disabled and the accessible room was very easy to navigate and the bathroom was extremely accessible. The beds are comfortable and everything is set up to make the room easy to navigate and use. There were more useful accessible things in this room than in any of the other accessible rooms that I stayed in. I stayed in the deluxe two bed accessible roll in shower room. I would definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip to Los Angeles.

A very modern hotel but note that it is not functional especially for families. The bathroom is modern but the sink mechanics and the shower & toilet room area are a bit dysfunctional. You don't get much privacy if you're sharing the room. I would take a look at pictures of the rooms before booking. The area is pretty sketchy so I would not advise anyone to walk on their own esp at night. It's a bit confusing as there are two hotels in one. The Moxy and The AC hotel. Note that you have to get clarity on the reception area for the AC hotel before arriving and then understand that half of the hotel is the Moxy. Otherwise, it's not a bad stay because the view at top was super nice. Coffee wasn't the best in their cafe but people are friendly.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful city view from my room. Great pool area with bar. Was very happy and pleased.
