The staff is amazing and so is the service.

Also, some of the rooms are in terrible condition and out of date. My initial room has big, brown gouges in some walls and black marks where it looked like furniture used to rub against the wall and had never been cleaned off. They moved me to a nicer room, but where 'garden view' meant the dumpsters, which were emptied throughout the early morning, starting around 4am. There was also constant banging from the engineering room down the hall through the night. I left a day early because I couldn't sleep. On the flip side, the staff were WONDERFUL. They totally understood and apologized, but these are not things they could affect. The pools were nice and the common spaces were pretty. The shuttle into town was reliable and the driver lovely. Same is true of the water taxi. But really, don't call it a beach resort if there is no actual beach or the ability to swim.

Very pleased with the complete experience! The location was great and close to many things to do.

The only complaint is construction/hammering waking us up both mornings at 0710/0715 both mornings. Hate to mention that because the facility can certainly use the updates, but we were comfortable, otherwise. Amenities were good, breakfast buffet could've used a bit more variety for the price, but it got the job done. Views were lovely. We would return and request a specific area of the property.

We booked a room in the Harborside Hotel, Hallways were clean but a little run down, marks on walls, stains on carpet, etc. Nothing bad, but just a little worn down. When we got to our room we found a leak from the air handler condensate into our room. The front desk said they would get maintenance on it, as they had no other rooms available. The next morning the leak was still dripping, no show for maintenance. Went back to front desk and they searched for a different room, but did not have any. The gentleman was extremely apologetic and found a room in the adjacent sister hotel, The Beach Club. This was a big upgrade from the room we started in, and turned the trip around for us. We enjoyed our time there for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. That is until check out, when we checked out we found they charged us $48 a day for "Amenity Fees", which was not optional. This was not clearly stated when booking on Expedia, but I went back and found it buried in the fine print. If it is a required fee, it should be stated up front in the base rate so people are not surprised when they check out.

Very nice appearing resort but mechanically needs improvement. Screen on patio door very difficult to open. We left it open because we were afraid we would not get it open again. Closet doors would not close and bathroom pocket door needs a handle because it is so difficult to open. Also the cold water was not cold.

No water pressure in the bathroom. Such a slow trickle it was near impossible to wash your hair. Some front desk people were very friendly, some definitely not so much. We had a much better stay last time around. Also no daily housekeeping to even exchange wet towels/empty trash, or replace coffee, which should not be the case at this price point. Disappointed this time around for sure.

Beautiful property with nice amenities

This hotel needs a major investor to renovate the property to current standards. Rooms are due for major renovations, such as painting, fixing of moldings, updating bathrooms updating the floors the closet doors just a whole property needs a major upgrade in renovations doors outside doors painted new carpeting throughout. I can’t say it enough how many things need to be brought up-to-date. It’s sad because the location is such a prime location that this could be really a world class resort if managed properly. The restaurant food was so below standards. A new chef needs to be brought in with the robust menu matching that of the Charleston scene I sadly would not go there again unless all these things were fixed.

Rooms were clean but dingy. Woodwork needs redone and most walls need repainted. One of our 2 rooms did not have AC working, however my adult children were quickly moved to last room available.

Great family experience

The grounds are dirty with weeds. Staff are less than personable. Smiles non existent. Was supposed to get a handicap room for my husband and did not therefore he could not shower during our stay. The food was outstanding though. On the day we were leaving the night shift desk clerk was sleeping in the room off the front desk where the soda is kept. Coke products available but no Diet Coke at the desk or gift shop. For the amount of money spent very disappointed.

Amazing location and view! Nothing

I had to call the front desk for an issue and they responded right away and fixed the issue.

Nice place, friendly staff needs much better coffee - the machine in the lobby is not good.

The lack of food options especially for breakfast were disappointing for this size of a resort. Also, no room service in this level of property is a HUGE miss. The main/common areas are nicely maintained but the rooms definitely could use some fresh paint and TLC. Also, bring your own soap and shampoo. The dispensers in the shower are so low quality it takes forever to get the soap out.

Great place to stay. Super friendly staff and helpful. The decor was great and tasteful. Used almost all the amenities and it was very easy. Will definitely be booking here again!

Our room was nice enough. We had room 215 which was a “harbor view” room, we could see the next door beach club swimming pool. The beds were nice, I would’ve preferred less giant pillows and a couple of standard sized pillows. 6 lg pillows per queen sized bed is too many! I liked the bar and grill, nice staff and ok bar food. The hotel could use a few nice vending machines. The downside is that there is only 1 restaurant . The fish house, it has a magnificent view, but we were not impressed with the food. They did not have takeout. The free shuttle to downtown was nice. James should have been a tour guide!

They could’ve done a better job at cleaning the rooms and the bedsheets, but the view is beautiful. The property is fun with a lot of great restaurants in the area. Keep in mind if there’s an event happening on the grounds like a wedding you will hear loud music well into the night.

My husband and I had a great time, bed was comfortable and had a great view of the marina.
