Staff was excellent! They have a 24-hr concierge which i found very helpful. Small rooms, but you're probably not spending much time there anyways.

Location is great for walking and casual dining. Street side is often littered by the night bar crowd

I stayed at Pod 31 for the second half of my trip and had a far better experience for a comparable budget hotel.

The elevator takes forever

The window in shower View The AC was controlled by front desk on 90 degree days and so we had no control over AC ( even though we had control panel in room it did not work ) which temp would get up to 86 degrees. I would go down to front desk ask them to adjust and they would lower temp but then it would stop working and temp would climb back up. The pocket door to bathroom was stuck open, asked maintenance to fix they did not. The tv did not work first night, but was fixed the 2nd day. The outdoor entrance of hotel had seating which very questionable people were hanging around at, smoking and overall not making you feel safe when entering the building. These tables and chairs were cleared out on my 3rd night so at least I felt somewhat safe walking in to the entrance. The staff tried their best but if a rooms AC cannot be controlled by guest you can tell what you are getting yourself in to.

If you need a bed and a private bathroom this is fine. Other than that there’s not much to say. The good: The bed was comfortable and if your room is on a higher level the view is amazing. The bad: every night I felt very unsafe walking into the hotel. On the property of the hotel there is a courtyard in front of the entrance you have to walk through to get to the lobby. Every night there was a group of about 15 agressive men shouting at me, blowing weed smoke purposely in my face and putting very loud speakers in my face. The hotel should really do something, all three nights I was there so were they. The room is small and bare bones but it does the job.

Top floor had tremendous views. Clean as a whistle room. Quite save a bitta City energy from the bar/street beow. Close to food and subway. Justin was friendly and kind. Nothing. All went well.

* Location * Close to Subway Station(s) * Walking distance to Soho * Fantastic food variety around the area * Hotel Service * Staff was very accommodating to the issues I faced and was quick resolve Bad: * Location * Restaurants/Bars are located across the hotel and are usually open until 3am - large, drunk and loud crowds keeping you awake * Hotel * Room Key Scanner - Room Key had to get changed everytime I came back from the city * Had to switch rooms because the original room given had a malfunctioning A/C

Horrible experience. We were given a room without working AC during a heat wave, even though we paid for a room that advertised AC. The receptionist Victoria was one of the worst customer service staff I have ever dealt with. She knew the whole 10th floor had no AC and didn’t inform us and when we came back down (since our phone didn’t work) she claimed they were sold out and there was nothing she wanted to do. She didn’t even offer fans and our room was 91 degrees. Zero compassion or respect for guests and no help whatsoever. Nick was the only staff that provided any help for us during our stay. We had to fight to receive fans and once we finally begged and got moved to a different room (smaller and cheaper than what we paid for) The Ac still wasn’t working very well. The rooms are bare bones and asking for anything even towels is a task. Every issue was met with incompetence and dismissive attitude. The patio was always packed with people who weren’t guests and smoking until all hours of the night which made us feel very unsafe and the deadbolt on our door was removed. You could see the holes but no lock besides the one you can unlock with a keycard. Even when we moved rooms they took other guests stuff and left it in our room and took 45 mins and multiple trips to the front desk to get them to remove it. Plus even when the phone didn’t work, nobody would answer. Not impressed, would not recommend

This is a humble, simple and okay hotel. It's okay and a place to sleep but nothing fancy at all.

Location is EXCELLENT. If you like to travel and not feel like a tourist the lower east side is a great spot. I lived in NYC for over a decade but now live in LA and I always stay in this part of town. The location of the hotel is perfect. F train right around the corner which gets you easily all over the city with ease. Too many great spots to eat, drink, shop, nails etc is right outside the property. The rooms are TINY but it’s ideal for a shorter stay and if you are traveling solo. Two people in these rooms would be a stretch. But the location is so amazing you will only need to sleep and shower and you are out the door. They have a space on the second floor which bid great to work or take a call but I wish they would have gone the extra mile and actually invested more resources to decorate/design the space. Second floor space and back coffee area feel Like an after thought. Great spaces but looks like they ran out of money and left it as is.

Near to subway and parking No refrigerator

The price was very economical. The rooms were small and dated.
-
No hot water in room. None. Team had no other rooms for me. 1 outlet at the far foot of bed
-
Perfect place in a vibrant community. Restaurants, and that New York Feel The rooms are small, and it can be noisy.

The room was 92° when I checked in AC was broken. I asked staff to help me with another room or try to accommodate and they said sorry they couldn’t help they were stains on the floor. They did give me a fan, but it had a bunch of hair stuck in it true story do not stay there

Excellent location. Queen double bed comfortable. Small room but if you're only sleeping there not a problem. Nice shower though shower curtain barely covered stall at bottom. Free coffee a nice touch. TV worked with lots of choices. A/C worked fine. Desk staff very helpful. Perfect for our 4-day senior couple stay.
