Fairfield Inn by Marriott Sacramento Cal Expo

This was a first stay at this Fairfield in about five years. It remains a pretty good low-cost place to stay for a night or two. The breakfast isn't quite as good as we remembered it, and the $10 per day they now charge for parking was off putting. Beyond that, the biggest downside to this location are the frequent freight train horn blasts throughout the night they can nothing about but nevertheless impact the quality of sleep.

-Front staff are very friendly not complaining . -breakfast they can improve I feel we eat the same for 3 days out of 4 days we stay. -parking Every night it was saturated I was parked far away from the entrance.

The king bedroom was decent, bed was comfortable. No fridge or microwave in room. Includes liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner in shower. The pool and hot tub were nice - no beach towels, had to use bath towels and the breakfast was good. It had a variety. Of hot and cold foods. It was good for a one night stay and conveniently located.

Staff was great and there was plenty of parking. We came to watch a baseball game and it was only about 15 minutes away from the stadium. I would definitely come here again.

The breakfast was awful (reconstituted egg powder anyone?!) and having a timer switch on the bathroom light was a health and safety nightmare. Had to leave the shower door open to wave the lights back on every 60s when plunged back into darkness. Someone kept phoning my room at 6:30 am Sat morning too. Fortunately staff were great.

Only downside is lack of storage for clothing. Staff are friendly and amke you feel welcome.

Very cheap and barebones of a hotel room. Also very uncomfortable with the non air conditioned hallways and elevator. Room was 85 degrees when we got in. Cable wasn’t plugged in so had to figure that one out ourselves. Just overall underwhelming.

Rooms were great poll is great small and prefect for kids

Over all, would stay there again.

Superb

Check in was a breeze and fast. The lobby smelled clean. The room was clean and cold which we love. The pool area was clean and they were fast at getting towels out to the pool area when they noticed people were in it. Breakfast was amazing with yummy hot food, pastries and breads. Staff was always checking to make sure the food was full for guests.

Beautiful spacious room made using my walker easily accessible. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too.

Room is clean and neat. Only problem is nearby railroad will hear train horn once or twice during night. Overall good!

Hotel was fine, didn't use any of the amenities. It is nice they offer breakfast but I did not give it a try. Shower pressure was horrible it trickled out.

Overall good experience. The one negative was the light in the bathroom was on some kind of broken timer and kept going off when in the restroom, esp. the shower - pitch black when it went off. Frustrating and consistently happened during our overnight.

Spacious room, great breakfast, helpful staff, plenty of parking. Will visit again on our next trip to Sacramento.

Really upset they said the hot tub was working but it wasn’t hot and really gross. Staff didn’t care
