Quality Inn Salem - I-81

IF YOU ARE A SINGLE WOMAN TRAVELING ALONE DO NOT STAY HERE. I want to preface this by saying I hate leaving bad reviews, I never want to judge someone on possibly just one off day. The hotel itself was fine. It was clean. It wasn’t super modern, but you get what you pay for. The interaction I had with staff, however, was bad. I got to the hotel around 12:30 AM. I’ve been driving all day and I was exhausted. The door to the lobby was locked for safety reasons and so I rang the doorbell only to realize the staff member was asleep on the couch. I spent a full 10 minutes, ringing the buzzer, knocking the door, calling the hotel hoping he would wake up. I almost considered calling EMS because I was worried that he was having a medical emergency. When he finally woke up, he said my room number out loud while there was a strange man standing behind me. This is never standard and so I requested a new room and said why I felt unsafe. He looked at me confused and said there were no other rooms available. I just took the room because I had no other choice, but I felt unsafe all night. I checked and this is against quality inn policy to say the room number out loud. I don’t want to judge him. I’m sure he was just tired, but if you’re single and traveling alone, I wouldn’t stop here.

Great Hotel.

The quality of the accommodation and facilities met all expectations. The quality of the breakfast was very poor, especially when compared to European standards.

Great location Motel style. You could hear people coming and going.

Traveling with a utility trailer is tough but we were provided parking right by our room. We also appreciate the dog pet policy and the easy proximity to restaurants. This was our third stay and everything is consistently good.

Wasn't happy that the price skyrocketed at graduation time

Front desk staff was very personable and helpful. I wish I remembered his name but he made our check in process and stay for one night very easy. Thank you!

We stayed for only one night. The beds were very comfortable. The property was safe and quiet. There were many places for dining near by and shopping as well.

The guy at the front desk was really nice and patient and the room and motel area was very clean and spacious and nice looking. Also the food area was great

Clean, comfortable room and bed. I had a great night’s rest and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning. Will stay here again!

Location for event was perfect My room was without a doubt never properly cleaned. My bedsheets were dirty. There were candy wrappers left on the floor. I was charged double the amount the other party was charged for their room in the group I was with they paid $243 for the weekend well, I paid 414 booking tells me I need to contact the property and the property tells me I need to contact booking so I paid $414 for a filthy room with dirty sheets and other people‘s trash on the floor. And I’m pretty sure I won’t be using booking any further. Consider considering the enormous discrepancy in the rate I just paid.

The breakfast options were a good selection, the water pressure in the room was amazing and the temperature, as well as the parking was great! The staff was very kind and welcoming and the location of the hotel was perfect. Hmmm I really don’t have anything negative to say at all!!
