Americas Best Value Inn San Antonio Windcrest

As soon as we opened the door, the smell of cigarettes hits you. There were cigarette burns in the bedding, stains on the bedding, hair on the bedding and the towels, dead bugs on the floor. We ended up staying for a few hours since we had driven 14 hours straight and were exhausted. We cancelled fhe remainder of the stay and booked another hotel. All our clothing reeked of cigarettes.

I woke up terribly itchy, I showed image of the room 218 to staff and she looked disgusted -

Deadbolt was broken, TV was streaming only, no shampoo or soap, and smoke smell was strong.

The property is older and needs a facelift. Room was clean but there are smoking rooms, so the non-smoking rooms also smell of cigarette smoke. The owners are great and very accommodating.

There was blood and other gross stuff on the bed, and cockroaches everywhere.

A/c didnt get cold at all. Roaches running around. It was quiet and not alot of traffic in and out of the property

TV was destroyed they tried to blame me

Property was definitely in bad condition I had asked for a none smoking room and all the location. It self was a smoking area terrible experience

The older gentleman manager is really friendly and professional.

The room was clean and tidy. Smelled good. I was there for 5 days and saw no bugs in the room. The sheets were clean also. The manager was nice and professional.

Hair on sheets, room was dirty, had dirty toilet paper stuck to wall, cigarette holes in sheets,placed stunk, had no pool or any amenities, classic crack head filled place didn’t even feel comfortable with my car in the parking lot

The stay there was not great.The area didn't look safe.The room was very hot.Air conditioning was not working. The room was decent clean.They need to upgrade Everything it old. Service was okay.

Filthy. No locks on doors. Sticky snd slimy pillows. Disgusting bathtub and floors.

The room and room rate was reasonable for the San Antonio area. Check out was a problem because the manager was not on-site and the person checking me out did not know how to provide a zero-balance receipt. I actually stopped in another day to get a receipt and got no satisfaction because the same person was there with no manger around. I asked on three separate occasions to have the receipt sent to me via E-Mail and still haven't received a receipt after two weeks. Also, I had booked my room for two nights, but when I tried to get to the hotel on the second night, the Interstate service road on which the hotel is located was blocked for construction. I drove around for over three hours trying to get to the hotel because I had left belongings in the room from the first night's stay. I finally resorted to driving up the one-way service road in the wrong direction to get to the hotel. The hotel management had to know that access to the hotel would be blocked for that night, but I suspect that they failed to inform Expedia that the hotel would be inaccessible that night. .
