Gaslamp Plaza Suites

Room was tiny. Drain in the tub was clogged. Bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on.

Free coffee on the roof, excellent location. Lovely big rooms. Highly recommended

Great hotel for young kids that love booze and stay out and make lots of noise. We were looking for tranquility and peace not noise down the hallways caused by toxicated folks

Had a pleasant stay. Windows aren’t sound proof so you can hear the hustle of the nightlife.

My room was clean, perfect temperature. My shower was spotless and l clean towels. The staff was friendly. Acknowledge who went in and out. My stay was great.

The rooms were clean, the staff helpful, great security measures since it is in the Gaslamp district of S.D. Would definitely stay there again.

I had booked a suite a specific room and paid extra money however: when I arrived I got a different room that it wasn’t what I had requested I notified the front desk and the response was there were sold out or completely booked and there was nothing they could do but at the end of the day, they said they call me a week, but it’s not what I paid for. Very disappointing.

Terrible experience, there is no restaurant in the hotel and there is no bar/lounge as stated. If you don’t mind being up all night on a Friday/Saturday night then stay at the Gaslight Plaza Hotel. I didn’t know this when I booked this hotel, as the website portrays a different atmosphere. There were police cars, at least 6 when I returned from dinner at 10:00 p.m. It startled me, and I didn’t feel safe leaving at that time of night. The party only got louder and louder, 12:30 am, 1:30 am, 2:30 am, the Hotel attendee apologized but nothing was resolved. So, if you like to,party be sure and go there because you will not have to leave your room, it will be in your room as well as out on the street. The worse hotel experience I have ever had…and Expedia you need to give me my money back.

Quick trip- but the staff was friendly, and even though the building was old it was fairly clean and well maintained. The only downside is the walls seemed thin as we could hear our neighbors. We would stay again.

Free coffee was actually pretty good and if you are in the mood of partying and experiencing city life, this is a good location. Staff were friendly as well. The room was not very clean. The bed sheets were super old and worn out. No slippers were available. The blanket was bad and old. Lots of dirty spots on the walls. Be ready for homeless people everywhere around the hotel and a bad smell. Also, 56 dollars for parking? Is this a joke?!
