Hotel Majestic

This is exactly what it states in its descriptions, embraces a different time. This was most obvious in general sizing of some room aspects. I was sad that the bar was not open due to staff calling out, but the manager was very apologetic. The drink and small bite menu was something I was looking forward to. Beds seemed like they might be hard, but we slept amazing. Continental breakfast is not extravagant, but the waffle is highly recommended, and they offer Nutella! Cleaning staff were super nice. Small and niche, very appropriate for the price.

Enjoyed it very much, everything was very clean. TVs were a bit dated . Ended up using laptop to watch tv instead.

The only negative for us was the breakfast which was lukewarm at best. If they find an alternative to their current setup and are able to keep the hot items hot our review would be 5 stars.

Very helpful staff, specially at the reception

Breakfast included eggs and fresh fruit, and the coffee was good. The room I was in was large enough for a single person, but a little tight for two people. Air conditioning worked well. This was a return trip for me, and, as usual, the staff are unfailingly kind.

We Loved the hotel… Easy to access, central to the areas we wanted to investigate, welcoming and offered lots of food/entertainment ideas. Certainly would stay again!

check all your parking options because parking isn't that convenient-

No private parking you have to find parking area sometimes 8 minutes away.

Charming hotel with lots of character, it being of Victorian style and the oldest hotel in San Francisco. Friendly staff. Good gym. Thought the complimentary breakfast was good—plenty of fruit and eggs available (which is what I ate), in addition to the carbs (e.g., make-your-own waffles) that other reviewers were complaining about. Could use a little more light. The room was a little smaller than I expected based on the square footage on Booking (not sure if the square footage displayed was accurate), but hotels in San Francisco understandably run a little smaller due to real estate costs.

Overall stay was great, breakfast was great, along with staff. My only complain would be to make the flooring in each room stronger so you don’t hear footsteps at night from the floor above. I got little disturbed at night as we could hear people walking in the upstairs room past midnight and into the morning hours.

Very clean, spacious rooms, high ceilings. I recommend the suite for a few extra dollars. Beds were comfortable. Will stay again! Safe area too.
