    Check in was great but then it went downhill from there. Room was older but mostly clean except the bathroom. It was Picked up but not sanitized like it needed to be. The shower could have used a lot more cleaning. The shower door would not stay closed so we had to wedge it with something so it wouldn’t roll back open. Shower doors are glass and were not wiped down at all. The hotel itself was great decor and a great atmosphere. We had a 3 night stay and there was only 2 towels in the room which is fine for a 1 night stay. I went down to the front desk the 2nd night and asked for towels and was told they were out and would have some sent to our room 1st thing in the morning. So we reused towels that night. No towels by 10 the next day when we left and we didn’t return til 8 that night. Still no towels. Went to the desk and again asked for towels. She asked if we asked for towels which we did from her the night before. She said she would see if she could find someone to bring some up. By 9, still no towels. I go back down to the desk. Different lady there. I asked if they were having our towels sent up. She asked if we had asked for towels and I said we did. She apologized and said she was not aware and nothing was noted on my room. She told me she would bring them herself and she did. By this time it was 10 at night just getting a shower. We went to checkout the next morning at 5:40 and no one at desk. There was a basket that said please leave keys here upon checkout.

    The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and surrounded by other hotels and services, making it an excellent choice for travelers. The room was spacious, comfortable, spotless, and exactly what I expect from the DoubleTree brand. The only downside was the check-in experience. We arrived around 11:00 PM after a very long trip and were greeted by a front desk associate who seemed exhausted and uninterested. Even after mentioning that I am a Hilton Honors member, the interaction felt cold and impersonal. We were simply asked for an ID, and although we were eventually offered the famous DoubleTree cookies, it felt more like an obligation than a welcome. I have stayed at many Hilton properties over the years, and this was the first time I did not feel genuinely welcomed upon arrival. Fortunately, the excellent room and overall property helped make up for that disappointing first impression. I would stay here again, but I hope future guests receive the warm hospitality that Hilton is known for.

    They have shuttle service to airport. You can leave car parked while on a round trip. I will definitely be staying again when we fly out of Savannah.

    Proximity to the airport and shuttle service. After arriving at SAV it was difficult to contact the hotel to send the shuttle to pick us up. It took several calls to connect to the front desk. I suggest the instructions of how to contact shuttle services should be on the reservation.

    On a side note, maintenance has a couple things to fix, an entire section of tile is missing at top of shower wall, also gapping hole where wall and door jam meets in bathroom and box between bedroom and sitting area where maybe a smoke detector was or should be with exposed wiring. But none of these things effected our stay.

    I arrived late and a bit overwhelmed having just missed my flight. The woman at the front desk was amazing! She was kind, compassionate, and eager to help me find a room and also to make sure that I was set up on the airport shuttle in the morning. This is a place I would come back to.
