We always love staying at the Steamboat Grand but this time was a little different. First they were going to let me know as soon as our room was ready as we were checking out of a house we had rented for our large family vacation just up the hill from the Grand. (We stayed longer than our kids to meet some friends and enjoy extra mountain time!) They never bothered to let us know that our room was ready early (I had said I am happy to pay for early check in) Thank goodness the company we rented the house through allowed us to stay longer When we did finally get to our room, there was a partially eaten doughnut next to the refrigerator ( gross) Not sure how the cleaning staff missed it as it was one of the first things I saw when we walked in. The restaurant and staff were great! I really shouldn’t complain but we have never had any problems before so…just some constructive feedback for future guests. Still like this place!

In Denver the plane (United) waited for people (us included) , who had late arrivals for their connections to Hanley Airport. The pilot said they were the last plane headed there that day and they didn't want to leave anyone stranded. That was very appreciated.

It was our 50th Anniversary and the staff went the extra mile by bringing a very nice card to our room with some extras included. We were very pleasantly surprised.

After checkout I was charged for poolside bistro purchases I didn’t make. Still waiting to get those charges reversed. I tried to eat at the onsite restaurant (Crooked Antler) and it was absolutely terrible (seriously DO NOT eat there). And when I checked in I thought I had paid an “all fees included” price only to find I was also REQUIRED to pay for parking at a minimum additional $25 per night. If it’s not optional that should be in the “all fees included” price. Lastly the front desk staff was just not engaging or friendly. I was supposed to stay two nights but the hotel was not enjoyable so I left after the first night. Won’t be going back.

Nice room and friendly staff, although miscommunication about nearby restaurant availability and deposit required by the Hotel., Short restaurant hours, no pool facility due to construction and construction on site. The Hotel, not Booking.com, charged my credit card for a deposit of $50.00. When I requested a refund no one could help me receive a return of the funds that were taken from me.

The pool is the best in Steamboat for lodging. It’s always so clean and classy. Always love waking up to the hot air balloon out our windows. ONLY thing I struggle with about The Steamboat Grand any time I stay there is getting my deposits back in a timely manner.

Room did not get made up after a phone call and two opportunities. Coffee pot in room was broken. Water pressure and temperature variations in shower were bad. Sounded like someone was drilling in the room next door.

The hotel was very nice and the customer service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We also loved the free shuttle service to town and the drivers were great.

The pool wasn’t open on day one, which I wasn’t made aware of until after the deadline to cancel. And then it didn’t open on day two until the afternoon. That was a bummer.
