The rooms are nice and they have a small room inside for smokers which is nice as it's not legal to smoke outside in japan. You can also drink water and coffee for free in the hotel. The hotel starts at second floor so at the entry there are like a bunch of stairs complicated when you have a suitcase. I was injured with my feet so it was not easy for me. It would've been nice if the staff suggests to help with the luggage

Great location near the JR Route and easy access to food and shopping. Fresh coffee available every morning. The stairs up to the property could be a challenge, no breakfast available despite being an option when we booked. The sixth floor has the smoking room and the smell permeated the air every night.

We had a nice, straightforward stay at the Tokyo Plaza Hotel during a quick layover in Tokyo with a group of friends. The hotel itself exceeded expectations for a budget-friendly spot in bustling Shinjuku—it's just a 2-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station on the JR Yamanote Line, making it super easy to hop on trains for airport transfers or quick explorations. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly staff who spoke good English and even helped with some last-minute directions. Our rooms were compact but clean, with comfortable beds, reliable Wi-Fi, and all the basics we needed for a short overnight. That said, the neighborhood left a bit to be desired. The area around Kabukicho and Shin-Okubo has that vibrant, edgy Tokyo energy, but it's also known for its mix of crowds, including some migrants and street hustlers who approached us a few times asking for money. A couple of them got a bit aggressive, even spitting when we said no, which made evening walks feel uneasy

Great location! Good value for what you pay for. The location is great and there any many restaurants nearby! Stairs to get to the lobby.

Location is great, 5 and 10-minute away from the train. Plenty of restaurants nearby and convenience stores across the street. Staff was really helpful! The hotel has a small room where you can refill your water bottles and microwave food if needed.

A fantastic hotel super close to Shin-Okubo or Okubo station. We had a family room and it had two double beds and we fit comfortably. Lots of dining and shopping close by Everything was great!

The location was excellent. Just a few steps away from the train station. The area was vibrant with lots of food places and convenient stores. Right next to Don Quijote ? Understandably, the facilities are not as good but we were really only there for sleep so i’m not complaining. The staff was super helpful and friendly.
