Petit Bali Ikebukuro - Adults Only

I love the Balian hotels! I’m so glad we came across this stay. Obviously we loved the resort in Osaka more because we had the premium room and this was much smaller but it was still comfy and nice. The only problem I had was when I got in the shower there was a long black hair and that’s a big turn off for me as I’m a huge germaphobe but I washed it down and tried to forget about it because they just have everything you need at these hotels and are really friendly and awesome The hair in the tub so I would like if they washed the tub better

Cool room The neighborhood is red light and otherwise a bit boring. Wish I’d stayed in Shinjuku

Decent train access. Cool karaoke room. This is a love hotel. I should have looked at reviews elsewhere. This place rents rooms by the hour in a street full of related businesses. Room was unclean. I could see a giant blood stain through the sheets. I'm attaching a photo of this craziness. Rooms aren't in good condition. Staff makes you leave the key at the front door which wasted time every trip out.

I understand it's 'love hotel' however for longer stays have better mattresses. We stayed 5 nights and could have used a little bit more comfort. With that said will stay again.

Location near public transport. This is NOT a four star hotel. More like a 2 star. It's like a hostel with private rooms -rooms that are rented by the hour. The free drinks etc do not make up for the absence of hotel facilities. Rooms are cramped and exorbitantly expensive to upgrade. Avoid this place.

Location, amenities This hotel is not for travellers, I learnt later on this is an ‘occasion” motel. Although I booked non-smoking room, I was accomodated in the smelly smoking room, this room was never cleaned during my 3 nights stay. The noice from the outside corridor every night, smell and noisy, broken air-con did not allow me to sleep for all 3 nights.The last night I could not bear the noice from corridor anymore and at 1.30am went out of the room to see the cause. The cleaning staff talking aloud, playing the music and heavy cleaning other rooms at nights!!!! I asked them to stop making the noise but they continued. At 1.50am I went back almost screaming to stop cleaning and making this noice at night as I had to wake up early next morning. They finally stopped but started again at 4.30am!!! Never more!!! Do not come to stay here if you travel and do not intend to use “the hourly motel” servis. Booking.com should not continue to advertise this place as a regular, solid hotel.

Everything else was great. It was a problem with the ventilation and unfortunately the smell of cigarettes from the other rooms always dragged to our room. Bed was a bit too small for us.

Excellent hotel in Ikebukuro. Clean, tidy and quite spacious room, at least for Japan standards. Loved the 24x7 free amenities like the coffee, lemon infused water, croissants, cookies. Very nice Genbanyoku - Japanese sauna Great location with metro station nearby and easy to reach different areas of Tokyo.

I liked all the free amenities offered in the lobby, makes it feel like a good value.

Exceptional

Staff is super friendly & supportive - they even have a translator box at the desk. Plenty of cosmetics were provided, lot of free services incl. drinks & snacks. All signs are in Japanese & Englisch. Close to ikebukuro station and nightlife The area is a bit shady. Hotel can also be used as a love/ „hour hotel“ which was a bit weird for European culture. But when you don t know about it you don t recognize at all! So it was not negative or weird for us. We would book it again

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful - they had translating devices at hand, in case of language barriers. The amenities were amazing - absolute 12/10! A wonderful selection of free alcohol, non alcoholic beverages, two selections of salad, as well as free croissants, cereal, milk bread and two different kinds of cake - pretty much 24/7! ❤️ They also offered regular cold water in pitchers, or Detox water! Additionally there were personal Hygiene/skin care products available for free. The lounge was incredibly cozy - wonderful couches, a hanging chair and massage chairs. A karaoke room for those interested, and private, artificial onsen in other floors. In general, the decorations and atmosphere with the Bali Theme is really beautiful - really made it feel like a luxus spa trip! The Ikebukuro train station is, i d estimate, 8-10 minutes of walking away - and there is a giant Underpass which makes getting there, or getting anywhere else, super fast and easy. We always used the C6 and C7 exits / entrances at Echika. You can also easily get to Sunshine City by walking (exit 34/35). There are konbini close by, as well as various restaurants for food. We especially loved the Matsuya around the corner! The hotel is a love hotel - but we weren't bothered by that at all. We often spent our evenings in the lounge were couples were waiting for their rooms, but this was not a problem! It was a bit busy on saturday, but the lounge was still comfortable. This was a bombastic stay and we were blown away in the most positive way! ありがとうございます! The only thing I personally had great trouble with was the bed. The beds, according to other comments, are apparently very hard in General. However, it seems the bed in our room was already a bit outdated / old on top of that. One bed-side (mine) felt even stiffer / harder and a noticable 'ditch' / 'mould' had started to form, due to the weight of previous guests. So the mattress seemed very worn on this side. I often woke up during the night with pain on the side of my hips and the pain remained noticable during walking the following days. I thought the bed was just that hard in general, but during the last night, when we switched sleeping sides, I noticed that the other side of the bed - while still hard - was indeed more comfortable, and an even surface. It seems that side of the mattress was in better shape and i actually had a good night sleeping on that side. So it seems we were simply a bit unfortunate with this room / this bed / this mattress in particular. In the morning hours cleaning staff can be heard, as the sound insulation isnt that good. One can also hear the street outside, but I personally always have earplugs with me, and my travel partner sleeps like a stone, so we werent too bothered by the sounds. This might be something other travelers might want to take note of.
