Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront Suites

The pool is so dirty, the staff is not enough, the showers look so old. A couple years ago was amazing hotel & now is juts ok, but the price increase almost 70% up. Pls don’t let it go down is a beautiful place.

This is a very nice hotel with spacious, well-kept suites. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant in the hotel (Tides) is actually very good. There was only one odd quirk. When we arrived in our suite, we found that the bath gel dispenser was completely empty. Although we made three requests to the desk and guest services, and were promised that they would take care of the issue, we were never able to get the soap refilled. We even spoke with two of the cleaning staff directly to no avail. Finally, we went to the front desk and they were able to provide several tiny bars of hand soap that worked just fine. Like I said, quirky, and it seemed like a simple request, but we couldn't get it resolved. We always bring our own shampoo and conditioner, but rely on the hotel to provide hand and bath soap so this was a new one for us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, however, and I like that it was off the beaten path of the "boardwalk".

View was off the bedroom can't see ocean from livingroom The hotel is crammed in between condos and you can look into those condos or they can look in on you. They have very few true oceanfront rooms they must be even more outrageously expensive Motorcycle noise echos all night long! Refrigerator had shelves removed you could only sit sodas on the bottom of fridge. Couldn't put manyin this way. ABSOLUTELY NO oWaterpressure I mean none zero. Difficult to get rinsed off. Batteries dead in one of the remotes not usable Toilet tank would not refill had to manually fill the tank and readjust float for it to flush properly everytime. Door to balcony would not open or shut easily it was difficult and had to use deadbolt to keep it closed. Phone in livingroom did not work to call front desk only bedroom phone worked About 6 miles to Boardwalk not many options for eating around the hotel No designated dog potty place. At nearly $500 for one night, I expected the room to be much cleaner than it was. It appeared that only the bare minimum had been done, and the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. In the past, our stays have been great, so this was disappointing. I rarely leave anything less than a positive review because I don't want to hurt a business. My hope is that management sees this as constructive feedback and takes a closer look at the quality of housekeeping. When guests are paying premium rates, the details matter. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I genuinely want this property to succeed. However, this experience has us considering other options for our next visit. I hope this was simply an off night and that improvements are made moving forward.

It was 55 degrees during our stay and the heated pool was not working so that was a major downside. The ocean water was warmer than the pool. I liked the direct beach access and it wasn't too crowded. We'd stay here again, but hopefully the heated pool works by then.

1- Room housekeeping was non-existent (Had to request and poorly done). 2- Way too many (none over 40 Lb your rule) dogs in elevators 3-Entry door was difficult to open/close (reported to staff, not addressed). 4- Parking space width is extremely narrow for any size vehicle !!!!! Pro: 1- Location is terrific 2- Expedia pricing is competitive 3- Rooms are spacious

Location. Needing many repairs to the room. Beds are really old. But clean. Elevators always breaking down! Meals at the Tides really BAD! Buffett early in the morning cold and old. Sausage was sour! Poor selection and low stocked! Not worth $25.00 each. Off the menu was worse quality for more money! Had one dinner there. Sour chicken, raw vegetables and missed orders. Waitress tried to fix things but we will not come back!

The hotel was clean, beautiful and had a great access point to the beach. The pool area was gorgeous as well. We loved all of the amenities. We’d stay here again if we are ever back in Virginia Beach.

The restaurant and Starbucks are so convenient!!

The hotel is okay, not good, not terrible. The rooms are quite large, I believe every room is a suite, at least everyone I have been in. Even though I have twice requested a room with a king size bed I have only been given rooms with 2 queen beds. The rooms can sleep 6, two each in the two queen beds and then a fold out couch. The rooms also come with a microwave and small refrigerator. The rooms are comfortable, at least for me. The beds and bedding are nice, clean and comfortable. There are two TVs in each room. The hotel seems to struggle with anything having to do with customer service. My first stay the lock on the door was broken and necessitated a room change. When I reminded them I had reserved a room with a king bed they apologized and said the new room had a king bed. It did not. This week the microwave in the room was broken and it took three phone calls and about 8 hours of waiting for that to be replaced. The a/c in the room also wasn't working, but leaving the door open to the outside solved that issue. I will continue to stay here for the duration of my project ... mostly because it is within walking distance, but I do find it a comfortable place to stay. As long as there are no further maintenance issues.

The rooms were the best part of the hotel. The pool and beach access were not nice at all. Did not feel 4 star resort st all. Cheap furniture, fake plants and everything felt dingy. The lobby also felt dingy and not put together or cohesive design wise. Nothing about the pool made me want to spend time down there.

The only downside was the temperature in the room. Despite setting the AC to its lowest setting, temperatures reached 78–80°F during the day and remained around 75–78°F at night. Because the room was often uncomfortable, we ended up spending more time in the common areas. Fortunately, those spaces were lovely, and the staff throughout the property were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would gladly return if the cooling issue were addressed. The exceptional staff and beautiful property made for a memorable experience.
