It was nice and clean

Location was convenient to many retail stores and eateries. I reserved a room for 6 and there were only a couple of towels in the room. I had to ask for more but it was no problem. Room was comfortable and clean. I didn't eat breakfast because we were in a hurry to hit the road home. The kids loved the pool. I would definitely stay there again. The neighborhood outside of the hotel was a little questionable. My daughter went to get food at Firehouse Subs and felt unsafe as a man broke from a gathering of men and walked toward her (Being the only other person or car in the parking lot) She jumped in and left before he got over to her.

We booked two queen beds, only to be given a room with one and a pullout sofa. Sheets were dirty upon arrival. Only had one room service during a five-night stay which only happened because we had ask for it. Shower made very loud, nearly unbearable noise. I will not stay at this franchise again.

Breakfast was good. I had to get the attendant to start the coffee maker. The design of the bathroom sink led to water on the counter top. Also at the sink the liquid soap bottles were inconvenient and located oddly for use.

The un carpeted area of the floor seemed greasy and was a fall hazard for my elderly parents. I paid for a suite but got a regular room because I booked through a “ 3rd party”. So no refund could be given since I booked through Expedia. That was the excuse for everything that went wrong with check in and check out. Also no towels available after 4 pm unless u used pool towels. Hallways and rooms were very humid unless u turned AC unit to freezing.

We used this hotel as an halfway stopping point to our destination with kids. Upon checkin the front desk was extremely rude. Then to be given a room that clearly wasn’t clean (beds not made, dirty towels on the floor and musty smelling). Came back down and not even an apology, just more rudeness. I’m pretty sure the person we dealt with was in management which makes it even worse. It was the least hospitable experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. The pool was poorly maintained as well. My husband was sweeping leaves out of the shallow end so our kids could play. One of the pool lights was also hanging out of its encasing. The breakfast was also not great. The food was chewy and had a strange aftertaste so we ended up going for just pre-packaged muffins.

We stayed overnight because we were driving tired. The staff was very nice and the property was very clean. I love that no matter how busy the staff appeared the next morning, they all took the time to smile and speak. I will definitely return if in the area. I love the Holiday Inn Express IHG hotels, they never disappoint. I had just check out of one in South Carolina.

An employee appeared to be unhappy and came up to the desk talking loudly. She was told by someone at the desk “ not here in front of guests” so she moved down the hall. Ice machine was not working on our floor. Asked for 2 additional towels and was told they didn’t know if they had 2. Eventually got them. A dirty linen cart sat in the hall Saturday evening, all night Saturday night and was still mid hallway when we checked out on Sunday. Definitely not worth the price we paid to stay.
