The hotel is very cute and clean and the staff were friendly, however, we weren't able to get into our room at check-in. We were told someone would call us when the room was ready, and we ended up waiting an hour and a half with no call, before heading back to check. Our room was in the basement, which was not what was pictured in our reservation, so there were no windows and no natural light. We were right below the bar and the noise coming from the floor above was pretty intense until around midnight. Not a terrible experience but definitely could have been better.

Great location! Quick walk to the Kennedy Center. Nice clean rooms with toiletries provided. Amazing roof top bar!

We loved our stay at the Hive. Safe neighborhood. Great location. 15 minute walk to Lincoln Memorial. All of the front desk staff were excellent to deal with. We would definitely stay there again. And would highly recommend. The staff in their pizza area was very unhelpful. They kept ignoring people and were unfriendly when they finally addressed you. The people in front of us waited a long time to order. Finally just left without ordering, because no one acknowledged they were waiting to order.

Everything was great! The staff at the desk were extremely helpful and we were given an upgrade. Very good housekeeping also. The only things I missed were not having a microwave or refrigerator in the room. But lots of places to walk to to get a bite to eat. Complimenatory coffee and tea.

The staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to answer questions and offer recommendations. We especially enjoyed the lively atmosphere and convenient amenities. After long days of sightseeing, Hotel Hive was a cozy and welcoming place to relax and recharge. I give five stars because being a micro hotel everything worked and made sense. What I rave about the most is customer service. Fantastic customer service. Not an once of rudeness. So polite and helpful to every guest that I witness walk through the door. They made my first experience in DC great.

The hotel bar needs to be more accessible, given that they advertise the hotel as having both a bar and a rooftop area. Throughout my stay, the tables were marked as reserved yet remained unoccupied—it was awkward. In the room I stayed in, it was impossible to use the sink to brush my teeth, and the room definitely didn't match the photos shown when I booked it; otherwise, the hotel is pleasant and well-located.

Fun, quirky but very clean and pleasant. Minimalist on purpose. Good fun but not for everyone. Wonderful friendly staff. Small enough that they seemed to know me. 3rd floor rooms large enough to be relaxing. Very clean. Interesting crowd. Pleasant but limited restaurant. Cool bars including on roof top. Tiny slow elevator but it’s part of the charm. Stairs from 2d floor lobby easy for use to upper floors. TV service unreliable but it got fixed. I liked the property.
