Room was clean but musty smell, no doubt from old carpeting. Needs entire refresh

I am deeply disappointed with the air quality and cleanliness of my room. The space had a terrible, overpowering odor that smelled like a mix of long-term cigarette smoke and a stale, damp bathroom. Worse, there was a distinct, pungent smell reminiscent of pet accidents or urine on the carpet or bedding. Since this is a 100% smoke-free property, it is clear the room was not properly deep-cleaned, sanitized, or inspected before my arrival. It made for a highly uncomfortable and unsanitary stay.

I like that the staff is always welcoming and helpful, checking in is a breeze, the facility is always clean, the beds are comfortable, and they are also kid friendly!

Arrived to be notified of 2 surprises I don't recall seeing in property description. Yes, they are dog friendly, however the fee is $75/ night and the pet area is across the street and half block away, not convenient for middle of the night potty run. Also, the ONLY parking is Valet which I was told was $20, final bill was $28, rounding out a 1 night stay to >$500. Sure there's "on street parking" if you can find it with several other hotels nearby. Would stay elsewhere next time.

Everything was great the only set back for me was I'm not used to staying in a big city so I had to pay to valet park.
