Spark by Hilton Winston-Salem University

We picked the property because it was a Hilton and for the pool. The pool was closed, the whole first floor reeked of Chlorine. The hallways reeked of a floral scent to cover odors but you could still smell the marijuana. Our room smelled like marijuana. We were traveling with a toddler and both rooms had wires hanging out from under the a/c units. And there was no toilet paper in the room. Also, the floors were dirty. Also, wifi only for Hilton members. No desk chair just a low stool. Staff was not helpful. They said they were aware and that's just the way it is. Very poorly managed establishment.

First off had to wait for staff to check in. Second pool was out of order. Third noisey from kids crying & running up down hall. Four beds kept sliding away from wall ( needs brakes or rugs so dont roll. Wires hanging out under AC unit & blinked all night. Outside all trash was full no one dumped them. Last but not least breakfast was not good ( they nees atleast a toast option for those that dont do bagels or cereal. ) . Was not a enjoyable over night stay for us and there was 4 of us.

The pool was closed. This was very disappointing bc it was the main reason we booked. The staff was friendly but he didn't know when the pool would be opened up. Standing near the pool door you could smell stinky water.

Besides the problem with the front entrance rug where my sister fell, you have a serious problem with gnats. The 1st thing I saw on the muffins were gnats and the were in the room also. I am glad I had brought my Lysol but that did nothing for the annoying little black gnats. Rooms clean and the young lady that checked me in and helped me with my sister, I give a thumbs up. Parking spaces are a little narrow, but I will return one day in the future, Lord willing. Have a great day and refuse to have a bad one

Everything was great, no complaints

It was close to the highway I had asked earlier about the pool. When we got there it was closed for a reason we do not know. Hilton sells candy bars and drinks for $6 which is ridiculous.

The customer service is amazing, the facility is always clean

The pool was put of order, the whole reason we booked this hotel for the kids was the indoor pool. The AC froze up and dropped ice on our floor, the toilet clogged and the cleaning team never came to our rooms in the 3 days thatvwe stayed.

Overall the property looked nice. Family friendly, appeared clean, I booked this hotel specifically for an indoor pool as it was advertised online. Upon arrival found out the pool was closed for weeks. Also there were roaches

Staff is great. Breakfast offerings were good. Room was clean and updated, Common areas a bit dirty. Floors needed washed - they were dirty and stained. Walls were stained in spots. Carpets in hallways a bit stained and smelly. But once inside room everything was clean and updated.

No towels or washcloths in the room. The mini store was practically empty, very little items for purchase, especially beverages. The elevator was filthy.

The beds were like box springs and the floor joints are about to blow all I heard was a 120yr old barn house floor with regular walking in the room above.. oh and the noisy wall unit
