This is my favorite hotel in Charleston. I love the charm & attention to detail. The large rooms are also great!

Very nice suite!

We really enjoyed the pool that was like a giant hot tub on the roof. Our one bedroom was spacious for 3 people. The staff was very nice and we enjoyed the three free jeep rides!

Our stay at The Restoration was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. The combination of outstanding service, thoughtful amenities, & genuinely warm staff made this an unforgettable stay. From arrival, the hospitality was exceptional. The hotel held our bags before check-in so we could explore Charleston, & when we returned, our luggage had already been delivered to our room. Small details like this made everything effortless. The highlight of our visit was Lasharia at the front desk. We interacted with her daily, and she was consistently warm, welcoming, efficient, and genuinely hospitable. She made us feel like family and truly elevated our stay. The hotel surprised me with a complimentary charcuterie board for my birthday, along with thoughtful touches like complimentary beverages & pimento dip with crackers. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the oversized plush robes were a real luxury. One of our favorite amenities was the breakfast baskets delivered each morning, with fresh fruit and a rotating breakfast item that made mornings enjoyable. Library Hour was another highlight - William provided excellent hospitality during the wine & cheese gathering. The complimentary Jeep service around the peninsula was another unique and appreciated perk. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and committed to making our stay special. We would gladly return & highly recommend it!!

I very much enjoyed my recent two night stay at The Restoration. It was my first time at this property and really liked it. The location, room, and amenities were quite good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Woody. He’s a real gem!

The amenities were exceptional and made our stay feel extra special: a lovely happy hour, late-night warm chocolate chip cookies and milk, breakfast delivered each morning, and a thoughtfully prepared picnic basket with plenty of healthy options. The complimentary Jeep transportation within a two-mile radius was such a nice perk. Jack, Lucas, and H were especially friendly, welcoming, and eager to help in any way possible. Matthew, the manager, was truly outstanding and made a lasting impression with his attentiveness and hospitality. Our room was very spacious, spotless, and comfortable. We also loved the rooftop restaurant, The Watch Rooftop Kitchen & Spirits — delicious food and a great atmosphere. The location couldn’t have been better — just half a block from King Street, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and attractions. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston!

The staff at the Restoration were extremely helpful and friendly. They made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast basket each morning was very nice and a great way to start the day. When we got back home, I hope to open our front door and it’s see a basket! Lol. A great service provided was the Jeep, which shuttled us around to the farthest places we went without actually having to get an Uber and allowed us to walk only half as much as we would have had to. The drivers were outstanding and very friendly. The service staff who cleaned our rooms were very friendly and did a great job. The rooftop bar called the watch was a great place to view the city and get a good meal. The only negative we experienced was some maintenance and upkeep in our room. Lighting in the bathroom was dim because half the lights did not function. Also the towel racks were dangling from the walls. The showerhead probably could use replacement because the mineral buildup prevented a complete flow. Overall, we enjoyed our experience very much and would recommend this very large room that we had which was about 800 ft.², to anyone looking for a weeklong stay like we had.

The one-bedroom residence was spacious, clean, and beautiful. The free NA drinks and breakfast baskets were a nice touch.
-
Amazing place! Only negative was the unit above us has little kids running back and forth for hours.
-
Wonderful stay! Staff was very attentive and personable. We enjoyed our studio although I wish the view was better(faced buildings and alley). Very clean, quaint and affordable downtown property. Breakfast baskets were a great touch and delicious! We used the jeep twice and it was a flawless execution. Rise coffee shop is a great addition the library was spectacular!

We booked a 2 bedroom suite, after checking in and going to dinner, we arrived back with water flooding the main bathroom. They did upgrade us to a different room the next day and provided 30% off the room rate but for the price of this hotel I would have hoped to not experience something like this. You could tell that the bathroom ceiling has had a leak before. 30% off for unusable bathroom and listening to water dripping in bucket all night was not enough.

We’ve been to Charleston a ton- this was our first stay at the Restoration, but definitely will NOT be our last! Beautiful, historic, room had everything we needed & then some, and Matthew, the front desk manager, was friendly, helpful, and went above & beyond! Great experience and highly recommend.

Very nice boutique hotel! The check in was easy! The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The coffee shop was nice and the adjacent patio was tranquil and beautiful. Perfect location! Would definitely stay here again!!!

Wonderful experience. The Restoration management understands the meaning of luxury travel. Service was incredible. Many extra little grace notes that made us not want to leave the hotel.
-
Excellent hotel! Would definitely recommend and we will be staying here again. Beautiful rooftop, cafe and rooms. The bread basket in the morning that is placed in front of your door is a wonderful touch.Thank you to all of the great staff and valet guys, they were nice enough to give us a ride to and from dinner. Overall, one of the best experiences in a hotel!

We were so excited about staying at this property. We have been to Charleston many times and have stayed at several great properties. But wanted to try the Restoration. Let me start by saying the room itself was great because of the square footage. We appreciated that. But the condition of the room was not good. Walls needed painting badly. We had a beautiful terrace but the umbrella was broken. Water pressure in the shower was horrible. The room slept 3 people. Yet our breakfast basket brought each morning only had breakfast for 2. And we had a 3rd person. Also there were only 2 forks 2 spoons and 2 knives in the kitchen. Which made no sense since the room slept 3. These may seem like small issues but for 600+ per night those things should be taken care of. Its the small details that make a good impression. But the biggest issue was lack of customer service. When we checked in we were literally handed a key. Not 1 thing was said about any amenties. Where to find the pool...bar nothing. Not even a hope you enjoy your stay. Valet was never present. Just not what we expected. So a disappointing stay. The Harborview Inn and The Charleston Place much more customer service oriented.
