I LOVE staying at the Whitehall Hotel. It’s dated but classy and the location is perfection for most any desires. Have stayed a couple of different times and will be staying again!

Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by the reception staff, who came across as rude, disengaged, and lacking any real understanding of hospitality or customer service. There was little sense of welcome or professionalism, which negatively impacted the stay from the outset. The hotel itself feels dated and in need of refurbishment, with tired décor and visible signs of wear throughout the property. However, the bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The entertainment system is also modern, offering access to streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube through guests' own accounts, which is a positive feature. Overall, while the location, price, breakfast, and in-room entertainment are positives, the poor service at reception and the ageing condition of the hotel make it difficult to fully recommend

Beautiful hotel, excellent service!

Great location close to lots of restaurants and shops. I had a nice size room. It was a bit dated. Comfortable bed but some upgrades are needed. The gym was okay. My first receptionist at check in was professional. On check out there was a different receptionist who was short with all.

Complimentary breakfast was a welcome surprise. Great business center -- quiet, with individual work stations. Very comfortable room and great location. Would definitely stay again.

The staff at the front desk was fabulous and the the room was clean

Our first room was nice, we came back from dinner and our room was propped open by the lock. We requested to move rooms. The night manager Derrie was not the nicest but did eventually agree to move us. She moved us to a room with no working AC. It was 80 degrees. Saturday morning we spoke with the wonderful lady at the front desk who said she could move us right away to a working AC room. We went out and back and packed up once again and were in our final room. We checked out on 6/14 and the day manager said they would be able to refund us after contacting Expedia. Well I did and Expedia said the manager Derrie refused. I have no called the Ops Manager to see what we can resolve. My advice spend the extra money to stay at The Thompson a block up.

It’s a nice old hotel, free breakfast was appreciated. Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. Our bathroom was quite odd with a toilet in the middle of the bathroom, up against the sink area.

The hotel rooms are old so don’t expect anything super fancy. However it was a great place to stay. Staff was pleasant, rooms were clean, and great location. The downside of this hotel was that being old it definitely needs some tlc. The towel rack in the bathroom was barely hanging on. Toilet sits very low to the ground.

Excellent location, as a solo traveller subway, beach was a few minutes walk. Room was very nice and I slept very well. Breakfast was great aswell, although I wasn't expecting disposable plates and cutlery at the weekend. Staff were very helpful for the most part, one of the receptionist, an older lady was not very approachable. I spoke to her a couple of times and I felt like I was bothering her.
-
Very dated property and room. The “self park” that was reviewed as a positive for others is across the street and $58 a night. Not so ideal. Otherwise location is fantastic
