Everything about my stay was nice . Great views and close to everything.my only issue was the construction that was going on , it made me reroute and it was a little nerve racking
-
This hotel sits right at the L so can be noisy. There is a strong, synthetic smell in the lobby and the decor is a bit odd.
-
The hotel was great. Awesome vibes.

This property is going through an expansive renovation. As a result traffic is terrible and one way. There is noise of construction and drilling. It is also right next to a train line so you hear the train day and night. I did not see the value for the price. I will not stay again

When I checked in, my room wasn’t ready, so the staff took my luggage and told me to come back in about 30 minutes while they finished preparing it. When I returned, I was informed that the hotel had oversold my room and the corner room I had reserved was no longer available. I was placed in a different room, which was frustrating since the room type was the main reason I chose this hotel. The rooms themselves were also underwhelming for the price. The décor felt extremely outdated, with mismatched furniture and colors that made the space feel thrown together rather than thoughtfully designed. My biggest disappointment was the rooftop. One of the primary amenities that attracted me to this hotel was the rooftop experience, but during my stay it was closed to hotel guests because it was being used for a separately ticketed event. As an out-of-town visitor, there was no way for me to know in advance that a major hotel amenity would be unavailable due to a private/promoted event. Overall, while the location is excellent, this felt much more like a party and nightclub hotel than a comfortable destination for tourists looking to relax and enjoy the city. Between the oversold room, outdated accommodations, and limited access to amenities, I would not choose to stay here again.

The customer service was very beautiful. They was very professional. The aesthetics was also awesome. It’s really a hotel that I will visit again. Everything was pleasurable

Friendly staff, very clean facilities, and valet was quick.

It wasn’t great. The staff wasn’t very helpful and my room was dirty.
-
Close to walking and shopping convenient For the price, I think it was too much, the elevators were down for two days
-
Great atmosphere, clean, and helpful staff. The location is king! Millennium park is a short walk away. The Riverwalk is a short walking distance away. Also walgreens and other shopping are really close by. Just a short walk.

the location is good other than that amount of this dollar we have paid it is not worth the expense.. I would not stay there again.
-
The room was roomy and clean. It had everything I needed - including so much storage space. I would highly recommend The Wit.

I'll start off with the positives and that was the lady that checked us in (name began with a B) and the guy who told us about Chicago (Can't remember his name, maybe Chris or lance? I'm terrible with names) He really helped us a lot as it was our first time in Chicago. To keep it short and to the point my complaints are: - Room did not have a fan in bathroom, nor a microwave. Front desk told us only specific rooms came with the microwave. (spent over 1200 for only 2 nights) lots of left overs wasted. - I picked the hotel because it had nightlife on the rooftop. I wasn't comfortable walking around Chicago to find things to do. The hotel offers so much so I figured have everything right there. When we decided to attempt to enjoy the night life, we were turned away due to the rooftop being booked and no longer open to the public? Very upsetting. Also can't use the elevator after certain time because its filled with drunk people leaving the rooftop bar. I missed my doordash order, I couldn't get to the lobby. - After attending a concert and coming back, a guy at the front told us the rooftop wasn't available and basically wanted us to leave but we were staying there, I had to show him my roomkey. Definitely felt this happened due to our race but he was also the same race. - not their fault but missed plenty Uber's due to construction, i wish the website had a heads up

Our first impression was not good. Staff that checked us in was not friendly at best. Same attitude for checkout. One night, the elevators were not working. No signs. When I returned to front desk, they were laughing and acted like I was an idiot for not knowing. During the 7floor hike to my room, I encountered a man urinating in the stairwell. Luckily these instances were countered by a very nice and clean room. In addition, the staff at the Rooftop bar was amazing and friendly. They should give some tips to front desk. This hotel is nice and has a great location but there are several others in the area to try.

Our room was given to someone else upon arrival. The staff stated our card had declined when in fact, it was a security check from our bank that we did clear, and should have been charged following clearance. We basically arrived and didn’t have a room anymore. I would assume this is fairly common that banks would require customers to verify a transaction in a different city, but instead of reaching out to us, the hotel gave our room to someone else and we were left having to book a different room upon arrival that did not have the amenities we needed for our 5 month old baby.

Clean room. Great staff Valet took forever

We were booked at The wit. We weren’t checking in until later (9pm) so I called around 5pm to see if they could make a note in my reservation that we were a late check in & to not give the room away. They said okay. We get to the hotel around 9 & were told that our room was no longer available & they had no other available. I still give The Wit 3 stars because they were apologetic & vouchered us to a hotel next door. So, a little disappointed, but what can you do?

Two people got stabbed in front of the hotel, the hotel was roped off for several hours by police and newscasters. There are drug dealers on the corner that hang out in front of the hotel as well. As a woman I did not feel safe here. Otherwise the hotel itself was maintained well
