Always so happy with this location. We travel a lot for tennis tournaments and are pretty particular about our hotels. This one is top of my list. Every time we come we have a great experience from check in to check out. Wonderful experience at breakfast where staff overheard me taking about how I was bummed there wasn’t the chicken strips I looked forward to. She made me some just because I had mentioned this! So above and beyond anywhere I have stayed. Thank you!

It was right on the Drake campus

As soon as I walked into the hotel, I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Gina was by far the sweetest young lady. She explained everything to me and showed me where the elevators were at as well as making sure I was comfortable. The room was all that and more! The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely be back here when I visit my best friend again! 10 Stars if I could rate it that high!

Great location close to many Des Moines attractions. The breakfast was good with many choices. There was scaffolding in the front of the building, so maybe they are working on signage but the entrance is along the side of the building. We went around the block several times to find the hotel and then to find the entrance.

Everything was great. Breakfast was plentiful and not crowded.

This place is amazing! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. The whole hotel is so nice, with helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast is wonderful, and we stayed for three nights, with different items everyday to choose from. They have hot coffee and tea available in the lobby all day. The beds are super comfy and our whole experience was enhanced by how much at home we felt here. We were sorry to check out!

We stayed in room 225. Our room smelt like stale cigarette smoke. We noticed our smoke detector had been removed. My husband called front desk to let them know… they said maybe maintenance removed it but never offered to have someone put one in or have us switched to another room. Not the best experience… breakfast was good however.

Exceptional

We liked the location as we were attending new student orientation at Drake There was someong on our floor playing music really loud. The bed was very uncomfortable. It almost felt like springs of the mattress was going to pop out and poke me.

Super nice and clean place, staff was super nice and there’s a lot of parking in the back. The location felt safe and we would stay again.

Second time staying here while our son was at the Drake Bulldogs camp. 10 min walk to the stadium and the hotel is awesome and the breakfast buffet was a definite plus.

Great proximity & location to Drake University. Our room was spacious and well equipped, kitchenette space has all you need including a dishwasher, which we didn't use but rare to see. Beds & pillows very excellent, our family of 5 slept great. Breakfast was very good. Pool is small, but very clean and lots of clean towels in the pool area were appreciated. Two treadmills in the gym, but one was broken and not working, which was a bummer. Overall an excellent single night stay for our family, would recomend and stay here again.

Great central location for my leadership classes at Drake plus central to get to several local spots for a brewery or good food.

Staff was very helpful. rooms were clean and comfortable. It was an enjoyable stay.

Great staff. Excellent facility. We were 7 families and we enjoyed pur entire stay.

The staff was friendly and knowledgable. The hotel, grounds and our room were very clean. The one thing odd about this hotel was the parking lot being behind the hotel and not convenient to unload and load up your vehicle. But a great place to stay by Drake University.

Breakfast was good! We stay here whenever we come back to DSM.
