Lots of things and rooms to check out. They had live music in two rooms at the same time

This was Our 2nd stay at Strater. This time We got a very small room. Based on previous stay, it was a surprise. Other than that, it was fine
-
Loved the Strater! Seeing the antique hand carved furniture and the dresser lined in pretty antique paper and wooden dividers was a memory from my younger years! It was a truly elegant place to spend a night! Only thing better would have been a longer stay!! Will have to return! ❤️

It was a very unique well cared for hotel
-
Location can’t be beat.
-
Didn’t care for trains coming through town but certainly not hotel’s fault
-
close to train

We went to the Diamond Belle and had so much fun! My husband ran into a high school friend, they played violin together and hadn’t seen each other in 45 years! The fit was great, the staff was awesome, and the entertainment was the best!

Fantastic historic hotel with free larking helpful staff a great affordable restaurant with a piano player. Beautiful rooms and furniture all well kept. Loved it
-
Enjoyed staying in a historic hotel that was very well maintained.

Very nice historic room. Antiques abound. Three restaurants. We tried The Office. It was nice to have some live music along with our dinner. Also nice to be able to order off the Diamond Belle’s menu there. Within walking distance of many restaurants and shops and the Durango to Silverton train. Only downside was that someone siphoned gas out of our rental car.
-
Just wish they had some kind of breakfast available.

Full function hotel. Right in the center of town. Convenient parking in the rear. Room was a good size. I enjoyed dinner and drinks in the hotel's restaurant. Live music in "The Office" bar was perfect. Staff was helpful after another worker made an error and sent me to the wrong room. I'll stay there again.

Beautiful hotel

Charming historic hotel in the heart of downtown. Location could not have been better. Room and bed very comfortable. You can reserve the jacuzzi for 30 minutes in a private room (the only real amenity at the property), which was terrific. Highly recommend.
-
Amazingly well maintained, historic property! Great location too! We were charged extra for “amenities” and I’m still not sure what those were. We still enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable.
-
Staff very personable and friendly. Clean room. Love the saloon! Will definitely stay again!
-
Beautiful historic property right in the middle of Durango. The amenities are quaint, not as modern as most, but it adds to the charm.
-
Staff at the front often had an attitude when I would speak with them

Great old classic hotel. They have three areas to park in so that want an issue. Great location. They also have a hottub that can be reserved for a half hour.
