University Inn Durham next to Duke University Medical Center

So would I stay here again sure and this wasn’t my first time here so I’ve been here before. Also the hallways were very quiet and our room is on the third floor. I do like that.

Place is clean.Parking costs additional $10 per day.Air conditioning unit very loud,place has small kitchen appliances,towels and bedsheets are ok.Pull out sleep sofa has original mattress with wholes in it,please do not count on sleeping on it!I made a complain about it and was told by the front desk that they are not intent to be comfortable and no one had complained about it before.Luckily,I booked though Expedia and they took care of my refund.

The only issue for the whole trip was the slamming doors echoing through the hallway. Not sure if there is a way to soften the sounds when someone closes their door. Otherwise it was a great place to relax and recharge a bit from my visit at Duke

For some reason, the lobbies smelled like someone had been smoking hot period we were on the 4th floor and a dog was barking. There was a smelly bag of food and the parking garage. We were not in our room for most of the time- the bed was comfortable. The ac was a bit noisy.

Parking was tight, but doable. Quiet and safe

The staff was very friendly, very clean room.

Basic room, friendly staff, hotel building is in a commercial zone with medical buildings nearby. Walk to Duke campus in 5-7 minutes.

Minor problem was the drain plug on the tub didn't work so you can't take baths.

Rooms were clean and big. Bathrooms were tight. All in all a good spot

My room was clean but could hear everything in the hallway going on. Most of the staff was pleasant aside from one person at check in that seemed to be a curt. I try to give grace as who knows what she may have going on but it was two interactions like that.

The facilities were fine, clean and hospitable. No bells or whistles.

Please be aware that a $10 per day parking fee is required at check-in. The parking spaces are small making it hard to park!

Located two blocks from Duke University Hospital, this hotel caters to those visiting or being treated at the hospital. I appreciated the signage reminding guests of quiet hours for those resting or recuperating. The in-room refrigerator is large enough to have a real freezer space, and the convenience offerings in the lobby include microwaveable dinners. It's clean and comfortable, but not fancy. It was just what I needed before and after my surgery.

This hotel is nice. I booked it without reading the info as I should have. I had two teenagers with me and I didn't realize there was no pool. I booked solo on the location being my kids had events. No complimentary breakfast. They don't offer military discounts. I dropped the ball on this one.

I liked the closeness to the Duke Medical Pavillion where I was visiting. It's literally a walking distance.

Very clean room and spacious. Easy access to rooms. Quiet. Excellent location to hospital and clinics. Would definitely stay again.

The staff was very friendly. The air conditioner did not cool as it should have, and as I checked in was told since I booked through a 3rd party I had to pay 30.00 for parking. The TV was very small.
