Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks

We stayed here because we had an event to attend at this location. The mall being close by was the biggest plus. The room was fine but the front desk didn’t answer the phone 3 out of 4 times. The time they did pick up, we requested towels which were never delivered. We went down to the desk to ask for an iron and ironing stand, we had to remind them four times and finally an ironing stand was left in our room while we were away but no iron! (They had a steamer in the room but it was not effective). In other hotels we have stayed at, housekeeping at least empties the trash and picks up used towels left on the floor, that was not the case here. The wifi was problematic as well so ended up having to use data roaming. Overall, it was not a great experience. Will not stay here again.

It was a very nice stay. The staff was very helpful. We didn't take advantage of the amenities as we had other plans. Excellent location to restaurants and the Fair Oaks shopping mall.

Excellent facility and very clean. Needs a place to have free morning coffee

Wonderful stay.

I checked out for one night there was no hot water and the heat didn’t work , it was really cold we gave 6 months old baby with us , I have to contact the from to change the room. I changed it 3 times because he was by himself I have to travel downstairs each time. I asked him to send someone to fix the heat , he said that engineer will be in the morning. That Shame for 4 star hotel to not have someone for emergency situation.

Only one elevator was working. Hot water took a very long time. Buffet was awful

I was hoping that it would have a water filling station near the registration. The only place you could get filtered water for your water bottle was a long track back to the workout room and the filtered water station looked pretty unkempt

Nothing at all No body there to help me when i arrived from the airport to the hotel just looking at me

To expensive Wyfi not easy to access.

The lobby looked nice. It looks nice on the website Our joining room was as if they were in our room! There was no sound proofing. I heard the toddler jump, scream, and cry.. I will say they were not doing anything out of the norm, I literally woke up to their family coughing in middle of the night as if they were sleeping right next to me. I tried calling the lobby about 10:30 and no one ever answered. Our shower curtain had stains of black mold when I got in the shower in the morning. It was not hygienic at all.

We had a 2nd floor room facing the inside of the building. There were people talking and laughing below our window until after midnight while I was trying to go to sleep. They probably didn’t seem loud to each other, but their voices echoed in the courtyard making them seem noisier and louder.

We had a very nice stay. Rooms are a little tired but it was very comfortable and we slept very well. We dined downstairs and liked the service and the food and drinks.

Close to the venues and home I had to visit Location, good buffet breakfast (but there was a mouse running around the restaurant)
