The staff was friendly.

I like the hotel. It's very well maintained and clean and safe. The only thing that disappoints me was the receptionist. She seems to be cold and mean.

I have stayed at this hotel every 6 to 8 weeks for many years. Over the last two years, mainly the last year, this hotel has gone downhill in a big way. I checked in a couple months ago and the restaurant was closed. The time before that I checked in and my door lock was broken off. Maintenance and upkeep is definitely failing. Couple months before that I checked in and there was no Internet… no internet at all hotel in a major city, come on was the bill not paid. The time before that there was no cable… one time I checked in and they were having trouble with the Internet and the cable at the same time. This stay was the final straw that crushed my loyalty and made this my last stay at what was my favorite hotel. When I checked in and was told there is now a $6 dollar parking fee that was it. No notice no “next time” there will be… just charged me $6 bucks and handed me a parking pass, money grubbing to the max! This was always my favorite hotel because customer service was top priority, people from the front desk, to maintenance, to cleaning staff, to cooks were just so customer friendly oriented. Now prices increase as amenities decrease, and where did all the great people go… customer service is about non existent. Ever since that manager named George left this hotel has dramatically changed for the worst! No bang for your buck here… can no longer write a glowing review or recommend this hotel.

Check-in staff was rude! The man before me was told all about the hotel and was given helpful information such as where he should park to best access his room, etc., and I barely even got a "Can I help you?" She was immediately cold with me and would only speak to me when required for her to complete her job and refused to provide me with any helpful information. When I asked where my room was, she just pointed in a general direction. The hotel is OLD. Although it looks like it was renovated, the bones are OLD. Although the room was clean, it smelled of mildew and the air conditioner did not work properly. The property also charges for parking and it's not even downtown where parking is limited. They had more than enough guest parking and zero justification to charge for parking, other than adding stupid fees to pad their wallets. We booked this hotel for another trip and immediately cancelled that booking after arriving and rebooked with another hotel in the same location.

1. AC is only controlled by standalone unit and turns on and off which can be disruptive. 2. Toilet may have needed some maintenance. Standard stuff really. They were also very busy that weekend. But overall great and would recommend to anyone traveling in the area.
