Hyatt Select Galveston - Beachfront

We stayed here for 1 night and it was an excellent stay for my family of 3. Once we arrived we didn't have use to use our vehicle. Beach was close enough to go walking, ice cream shop was also walking distance and we'll for dinner there was a great restaurant right in front of the hotel! The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast this morning was great as well.

Staff was really friendly. The only issue I had was gave an early check-in. The room wasn't ready, waited an hour and 20 minutes and it still wasn't ready until it decided to give us another room. Otherwise the cleanliness of room, the staffing and the breakfast were all 4

Check amenities before hand. Air conditioner didnt work properly nor the room phone.

However, the hallwall on the 2nd floor were filthy. I ask for someone to vacuum when we got there and the carpet were never touched. The room was spacious, but the floor was very uneven.

Our check in host Lala was very attentive to us. Anything we needed or had questions where to visit in the area she was very helpful. We will definitely be back!! Such a wonderful experience.

It was a nice place to stay near the Seawall. Staff was great!!

Delay in room allotment , didn’t allot the room booked , breakfast has very few limited items

Our room had a balcony and the door did not lock or close properly therefore we did not feel very safe. Then our room was not clean after the first night so we decided to check out early.

Had a good view of the beach

Very disappointed, pictures doesn’t represent the current condition and doesn’t meet Hyatt standard. Room has old smell, bathroom wall was broken. Water leaks in many places in the hotel. Very poor condition.

I believe the property was undergoing some renovations/updates. When we entered our room the floor was covered with construction debris/hardware. The breakfast was very disappointing. The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff was very friendly, engaging, informative, and efficient. I will give it a second chance in the future.

Room has rust on the light fixtures, the restroom was very difficult to enter due to the position of door. The AC in the room was unable to be changed, the power went out multiple times during the stay. Breakfast was difficult to enjoy as a person who cannot eat pork, very very limited options.. the smell of the hotel is profoundly unpleasant. Overall would not stay again.

It was great staff was nice. We had the best time.

The entire staff at Hyatt was super friendly and helpful. Great location. Walk across the street to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Lots of good eateries & family friendly.

The hotel room was high quality and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The balcony was nice too but you had to squeeze into a small corner to see the ocean. Mostly what we saw was the McDonald’s parking lot. But the hotel was in a great location with coffee on the pier over the water across the street and a great restaurant, Doc Holiday’s, next door.
