Residence Inn by Marriott Jekyll Island

We loved this hotel and would stay again. The pool was nice, rooms were nice and right on the beach.

We were only there for one night on our way to Florida so I’m grateful for that. Our room was clean but the bed was so uncomfortable; you kind of rolled towards the center which wasn’t great. The buffet breakfast felt very unorganized and the juice machine wasn’t working and there was no regular milk, just chocolate. Tables were left dirty and didn’t see anyone cleaning them. For the price per night I didn’t feel like it was worth it and we wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel was right on the beach, great bar right by the pool, and my family enjoyed the complimentary bike rentals.

Ideal location for families because of convenience. Bright and beautiful spacious lobby was nice for watching a game. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the option to order from onsite restaurant was nice, we did this our first evening when we didn’t want to leave the hotel. Full size kitchens in the rooms are a game changer for families. We used our kitchen for easy lunches during breaks from the beach and pool. Sandy beach is right there and made it easy to enjoy with younger kids. We needed extra towels and they were sent to our room immediately.

Beautiful property

We did in fact have a view of the ocean, but it was back in onw corner, so we saw plenty of the hotel building at the same time. The room was smaller than I was expecting but comfortable enough. It was nice to have a room fairly close to the elevator.

Right on the beach. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Snow birds bring a fun vibe. Service is on point.

The ocean was visible from our room, but we didn't face the ocean. The pool was nice. The buidling is lovely and the staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was good. The boardwalk to the beach was perfect as was the weather!

It’s a very nice facility beautiful heated pool beach is great for walking truly dog friendly! The room location though ocean view should be considered obstructed view since there is a roof top and 5 foot wall outside our balcony. Hotel was full so we could not move and were told that was the room we chose. Actually it appears that was the room Expedia chose. We are not happy with Expedia! Not for what the 3 nights cost us!!!

This hotel is excellent! It has a great location and wonderful amenities. The pool and hot tub are really great! They have lawn games and firepits as well as easy access to the ocean. The restaurant is very good and convenient. The breakfast is s nice perk. The room and facility were very clean and the decor is very inviting! I plan to stay here again.

10/10 stay! My family and I loved the location right on the beach, enjoyed the hot tub and warm pool, got to play old time arcade games, and had great food for breakfast and at the shore restaurant. The other attractions were all within a very short drive so we will definitely be coming back!

Great place on the beach

However, I was disappointed with the view. I booked a Studio, 1 King Bed with Sofa Bed, Balcony, Ocean View, but the ocean was only visible as a small sliver. The balcony was right up against a roofline, and there was no window next to the bed, which made the room feel more closed in than expected. Since I specifically paid for an ocean view, this was frustrating. Overall, it’s a nice hotel in a great location, but I would recommend confirming the exact view before booking if that’s important to you.
