Maingate Lakeside Resort

The room was not well cleaned, had stains all over the carpet and walls. The bathtub was clogged and filled with water while taking a shower. The bed hard as a rock and the pool area was unkept. Definitely not worthy of a resort fee

The breakfast didn't have many options...the room smelled musty...although nothing happened, the room door wasn't reliable because it didn't close properly...the hotel is poorly lit, creating a feeling of insecurity, and the pool needs cleaning...the bathroom also lacked the necessary utensils, and we had to buy some at a market.

Absolutely disgusting! Instantly smelled of mildew. Squishy damp carpet. Pubic hair and toilet paper in the toilet. hair on the sheets and mattress. yellow fluid stains on the mattress and sheets. Left the property immediately and found other accommodations! would NEVER recommend! Pictures and description on website are very deceptive

The one star is only due to the good shower head and plentiful hot water. Aside from that, this place is a disaster: the room smelled, the mattress and pillows were lumpy, all the metal fixtures in the room were pitted, the bathtub was stained, cabinets were missing door or doorknobs, the lampshades were stained as well as the bathtub. The crowning jewel showed up this morning in the form of an actual roach in the bathroom sink. I cannot un-recommend this place enough.

Dirty, smelling bad + the breakfast not good neither

Stay away in 2026 and wait till they refurbish. Be aware after you arrive there is an additional $27 per day resort fee. Definitely not worth the total rate! Our room had hole in wall, water stain on wall by toilet, curtain at window broken and would not fully close and we were on first floor, nightstand drawer missing, refrigerator stand damaged, paint and stain on lamp shade, bed too soft and leans right. TV had limited channels and lines thru pic. WiFi code gave me one bar so worthless, breakfast cereal and bagel. Only good was area around resort has great food choices, shopping and activities.

Our overall stay was great. Staff was helpful and friendly, and we were pleased with the quality of the hotel - considering the price point and the area. Would recommend and would return.

This stay was so much less than what I had anticipated. The old very dated rooms could be forgiveable if they were well maintained, they are not. The heat did not work in the unit, the phone was absent, the beds springs had given up as if another person was still present on the bed. The outlet cover broken and in pieces on the floor, the alarm clock melted. The fridge overflowing with frozen material and wouldnt stay closed. Surfaces rusted, shower had mold in corners, drain cover missing, but hair from past guests still in the drain. Needless to say not clean, not pet friendly, and we opted to skip breakfast and check out asap once we semi-slept on very deflated pillows

We were traveling with children and it was completely impossible and unsafe for us to stay there. Even the front desk staff acknowledged that the rooms were not in good condition. We had to leave immediately and find another hotel late at night during peak season, which was stressful and costly. This was a very disappointing and unacceptable experience. I would not recommend this property.

One pool is closed and the other is dirty, has not been cleaned, so nobody uses it. The mini golf course is closed as well the playground, and they are in disrepair, with overgrown vegetation and covered in leaves. Breakfast is mostly bagels, croissants and slices of bread, good thing they have toaster. Hard boiled eggs and freshly sliced oranges. The waffle machines are nice Milk, orange and apple juice in glass jugs to pour from. If it were not for breakfast and free shuttle bus to parks, nobody would be staying in that place

Dirty room, roaches, smells, that was there worst experience ever

O restante, é o que você espera por pagar um valor baixo, então sem problemas. Estrutura um pouco precária, mas nada que vá te prejudicar, a recepção foi muito boa na hora de fazer o check in. The room with a musty smell was the worst part. The rest is what you expect for paying a low amount, so no problem. Structure a little precarious, but nothing that will harm you, the reception was very good at check-in.

Terrible hotel. My room smelled “wet” the moment I opened the door. The carpet was stained, dirty, and damp in places. The walls were dirty. The bed was creaky and uncomfortable. Most of the outlets did not work. The WiFi did not work. There was no hot water. The walkway to the room was poorly lit; not good for walking to your room alone at night.

Room stinks

The room was not cleaned. It was poop in the bathroom and garbage everywhere.

Kind and helpful staff. Decent breakfast, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, I think there was a waffle maker; what you commonly see for this level hotel. The rooms are rough. Our first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and had a generally dingy feel. We were able to get reassigned quickly by the helpful and understanding receptionist. The second room smelled fine, but had a dingy, damp and generally run down feel. I'm guessing this is how they all are. We were only there for one night so we sucked it up but if we had a longer reservation I would have looked for somewhere else to stay. Half of the hotel seemed shut down, hopefully for renovations though I did not see evidence of that.
