BUT...if you want an EXCEPTIONAL and UNUSUAL hotel value in Vegas, read on. The Mardi Gras is a relic of a past age of Vegas. It is a big motel with big rooms that are made for budget visitors. (Built WAY before the current Disney-fication of Vegas.) I can afford to stay anywhere (and get my customers to pay for it). Here's why I stay at the Mardi Gras: 1) CLOSE TO THE CONVENTION CENTER. About a 20 minute walk...or a 4 minute Uber ride...or a 6 minute bike ride. Its between the Embassy Suites and the Renaissance. (Which means I could take any free shuttles to/from both.) 2) Practically NO resort fee. I think it was $5 a day. 3) FREE and ample parking in a SECURE lot. 4) SECURE ROOMS! They clean rooms only on demand, which is great for me since I travel with samples and equipment. I asked for 5 nights of towels and soap. They were really nice about it. 5) BIG, CLEAN, WELL KEPT ROOM - Nothing fancy. My $40 room had TWO comfy queens, nice bathroom, and this kitchenette-like bar. A great temporary office. 6) FREE INTERNET - Worked great for me. 7) Decent pool, big ice machine, and a nice, cheap bar in the lobby. 8) Close to off-strip businesses. Quick walk/drive to normal-priced food and shopping. 9) SAFE - Quiet. No homeless or riff-raff around. 10) Close access to the Strip. Perfect for no-frill business people with cars.

Bartender was friendly. Hotel

Pretty decent room for the price but staff is rude… they have a ridiculous rule that my husband couldn’t pay with his card for my reservation he was physically there next to me I wasn’t stealing his card just add his name to the reservation or sum

It was a nice stay and very nice staff thank you

Booked a smoking room on mistake. They would not change it. Room was run down and headboard of bed was very dirty (oily handprints and grime). Paid extra to be poolside and the pool was filled with drunk, loud men partying till the pool closed. Didn't feel comfortable in a swim suit there. Won't stay her again.

The Mardi Gras hotel is not fancy, but the rooms are huge and ours was very quiet on a Saturday night, the linens clean, the pool was wonderful, there were no unexpected fees, the parking is free and the restaurant food was good. All of this for a much lower price than we would have paid most anywhere else. Also, the location (relative to the strip) is really convenient. If you want to visit Vegas but need to keep your spending reasonable, I'm not sure this hotel can be beat. If they can keep doing things as they currently are, I will happily stay here yet again if/when I'm back in Vegas.

Room was clean and spacious. Pool area and hot tub were very nice. Just a few leaves in the pool. The water was not too hot or cold. The restaurant was very convenient. 10-15 minute walk to the sphere. Close enough to the strip to take an uber. Nice stay!

Room was old, a lot of stains and a lot of damage, definitely didn’t look like the pictures I saw. I killed a cockroach I saw crawling in the mirror when I woke up I think the 3rd morning. there was a lady that was always smoking in the room next to me outside. I didn’t feel safe going out at night cause I would feel I would run into someone I didn’t want to outside my room.
