Beautiful place to stay, and breakfast was very yummy and feasibly priced. Will definitely stay here again. The gym was also nice for vacation
-
Close to some easy walkable dining choices! Great little shopping center nearby & VERY comfortable beds!
-
THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL.
-
The breakfast was good, but way too expensive at $36 per person

We were very disappointed and dissatisfied with this property. While we could overlook the property’s and room’s outdated feel, the holes in the sheets and towels, as well as the stench in the full bathroom were almost unbearable. The staff was unable and seemingly unwilling to rectify the situation and could not offer us a comparable room. I will not be returning to this property.

Clean rooms, great location and views. Bar was a little pricey but overall not too bad. 10/10

After checking in, we went to the pool area and were informed by an employee that the pool was closed due to an accident that had occurred earlier in the day. I then went to the front desk and explained that one of the main reasons I booked the hotel was to use the pool. I asked whether a refund or accommodation could be offered. Unfortunately, after speaking with the manager, I was told that no refund could be provided because I had booked through Expedia. While in the lobby, I encountered another family whose children were already wearing swimsuits. I informed them that the pool was closed, and the mother expressed frustration because she had not been notified before arriving at the pool with her kids. She mentioned that she had driven an hour from Pomona specifically to enjoy the hotel's amenities. My main concern is the lack of communication. When a major amenity such as the pool is unavailable, guests should be notified at check-in—or ideally before arrival—so they can make informed decisions. Clear communication is essential, especially when an amenity is a significant factor in choosing a hotel.

Hotel smells great!! And the beds are wonderful! Especially the down pillows and comforter! However, the pull out bed did not have linens I had to call and request them. I wish that was immediately available, especially when traveling with a tired child. I ordered breakfast at the starbucks Cafe area, I ordered a spinach feta turn over that was pretty good according to my 12 year old, I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich wich was good, I then ordered a ham and cheese with potato breakfast burritos it was probably one of the most bland burrito I have ever had with zero trace of cheese (not a single spec) the potatoes were not cooked it was just BAD! With that bieng said we really enjoyed the pool! And the room was specious and beautiful! We booked the suite with the city view. We will be booking again but won't be ordering the burrito :) the food and beverage vouchers were also a very nice and thoughtful touch.

Good
-
We expected a little more than what was offered. There was no toothbrush, toothpaste etc which is a standard in many hotels. Many things. You have to stay here to understand that.

This is an historic hotel in LA. That's one of the things that made me select it...but once I got there and the awe factor passed, the hotel is showing its age. Is due for an upgrade specially at the rooms. Nothing is really bad, beds are comfortable, room is clean, etc. but I don't think is a 4 star Hotel anymore and definitely not worth the price tag, if you add the mandatory valet parking cost, it adds up quickly.

History. Location. Quality Tripping liability.

I absolutely love staying at this property. It is so comfortable. The employees are wonderful. The only thing I wish is that there was room service. That the property does not have proper room service
