Candlewood Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport/Cruise by IHG

This was a comfort clean property

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Having a full kitchen was nice. The property was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. The surrounding area can be a little sketchy at night, but there are a lot of food options as well as convenience and discount stores nearby.

No early checkin, had to take my own bags to the holding room which is a room where laundry is done. Had to get my own bags out the holding room once my room was ready and they don't put name tags on your bags. The day of check out the elevator wasnt working so I had to carry my own bags down Four flight of stairs and there was no advance notice. Room and hotel was clean.

This is a Candlewood Suites. It is the low end of the IHG family of hotels. The advantage is that if you have a lot of work to do the desk/kitchen counter stretches most of the room so it is easy to work on a project. This particular location surprises you when you check in as they charge for parking that is not disclosed when you make a reservation via Expedia.

The studio with a queen bed was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the halls could use some updating and you will definitely need a car to get around.

Property was nice and comfortable and great location. Front door didn’t look like an inviting front door so we walked around entire bldg looking for the entrance. Front desk staff was not personable at all. Wasn’t rude but no small talk and never made eye contact. Rooms were nice and comfortable.

They advertise airport shuttle and shuttle to the port but the airport shuttle has specific hours and the cruise port shuttle is through a third party for $17.50 per person.

Great place…would stay here anytime I’m in town

Great location, close to restaurants and the airport.

When we booked on the Expedia Website it said a Continental Breakfast was included. However, when we checked-in we were informed that a breakfast was not included and that the Hotel had asked Expedia several times to delete a breakfast from their website. As a result of this mix up we believe that Expedia should refund us some of our payment!

Clean room and friendly staff was a great stay.

The cleanliness of the room was also unacceptable. The shower was dirty, with layers of soap scum visibly built up on the walls, making it clear that it had not been thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, I was informed that the airport shuttle operated every 30 minutes; however, I later discovered it only ran once every hour. As a result, I had to pay for a cab to ensure I arrived at the airport in time for my flight. Considering the price of the hotel, I expected a much better experience. Overall, the accommodations and service were mediocre and did not provide the value advertised.

Great size room. I think good price. Staff 10/10 polite helpful, friendly Bed hard. Super indented. And im not a picky bed person. And this was bad. Bad. Seriously loved everything else. Will not stay again because of bed.

The property was conveniently located, very clean and comfortable. My only issue was the check out was quoted a different price than the receipt that was sent to me upon check in. I didnt understand because, I had provided all the request information on arrival. Thanks for a clean and convenient stay this time!

Just an overnight stay. Only negative thing was had to pay to park.

The hotel was okay for the occasion. It was convenient to where I needed to be. The rooms did smell a little moldy, but overall it wasn’t a bad stay.
