Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Manhattan/Downtown East

Friendly staff may be the only positive thing about this property. The elevators are slow, if they are working. Having to wait 15 minutes to get from floor 1 to 2 is just absurd. The rooms are extremely outdated. Dust on the air conditioning units. Water in the shower might be hot, might be cold. Fish smell outside of property - but such is NYC I suppose. I would stay away.

A great stay. The room was noisy with lots of tragic from the bridge but the view was amazing and it never bothered me. The room was great and the staff were lovely.

Stay was in a great location next to Chinatown and close to the subway. Staff was amazing and very pleasant. Would recommend.

So much to do in neighborhoods just minutes away and within walking distance - South Seaport, Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, and the LES. So close to the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge. Major downside was the fish smell from the market. Even on the 6th floor, the smell was awful. The check-in area and hallways smelled bad. The smell was within the room. Thin walls, but luckily the crew Nextdoor to us went to be the same time as us.

The staff here are fantastic. So helpful and kind! Free breakfast is a lovely bonus and the location is great. My room was very spacious, especially by new York city standards. I would stay here again.

Location is Great to live in Chinatown

Great place to stay, had all you need. Especially breakfast! Very delicious. Staff very helpful.

Rooms were clean, location of this property is also great, and complimentary breakfast had good options. Overall, this was a great place to stay and would like to come again.

Beds were comfortable. Great location and breakfast was included. Staff nice and helpful. Water in sink was cold. I booked this place due to location( great) and because it said queen size beds. The beds were doubles not queens.

Room was very cramped. The shower barely worked. Hard to get hot water.

Noise from bridge and train

The location is great — everything is close by, either within walking distance or easy to reach by metro. Breakfast was also really nice, with a good selection every day.

Conveniently located by s subway station. Staff was friendly. Room was clean.

The hotel was easy to find and close to the activities we planned. The parking garage was close to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The room and hotel were clean.
