It was OK but if you are staying here bring earplugs because constant beeping during the night wakes you up

This hotel is pretty much what one would expect $200/night in NYC to be. My expectations weren’t high, so I didn’t find the experience to be tragic. Just know the entrance looks like the service entrance to most businesses, there is no bonafide lobby, the indifferent staff consists of a person who would rather be doing something else, and the room is big enough to hold a twin bed: no closet, no dresser, no chair, no fridge, no iron, desk, etc. There is a bed and the bathroom is roughly 4’ x 5’. If saving money is your principal goal, as mine was, this hotel may be considered adequate.

Staff were helpful. A/C was struggling.

Awful absolutely terrible we booked for 3 days and left after 1. Dead bugs and filthy room. Manager is non existent to approve my refund for the two unused days mind you. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Location was convenient being close to Penn Station and subway. The rest…well, wasn’t well, but wanting. The property needs not just updating but a full reno. For after hours there is someone not at the desk but who sleeps in a room across from the desk and there is no night door code or card entry should they not wake up for you. We got only one hanger to hang clothes. We asked for more, but were told they didn’t have any to give. No drawers in room to put clothes in, so they stayed in the suitcase. Rooms also come without wash cloths. (We asked, they didn’t have. Really?) Towels though were seen hanging from railings in the open on the first floor. Oh, BTW if you’re not on that floor there are no elevators. No coffee maker in the room. No breakfast even as an option. It would be great if breakfast was included but I’d be concerned about eating there Only able to get out of bed via the back or one side, not both sides as the bed is up against the wall. Toilets don’t have a full seat cover. The AC unit was quite loud and needed to be turned off at night. Then too you may share your room with ants…we did. Won’t stay there again.

The proximity to the train station was the only convenient feature of the hotel. It was mostly clean, but not in great condition and the sheets and towels are hung up to dry all over the first floor draped over furniture and railings. No dryer?! The deadbolt on my door did not work. I spoke to the man who checked me in and he said don’t worry, it’s still locked and you can only get in the with key card. I explained that as a woman traveling alone I want to be able to secure my door from the inside, obviously people can get access to key cards. I was dismissed and told he was there and it was perfectly safe. When I returned in the evening there were multiple people passed out clearly on drugs outside of the hotel. I live in a big city and am accustomed to the grittiness that comes with it, but the lack of security was concerning. The front door is always unlocked, then there is a glass door you need a code to open, but again it’s glass. There is no one at the desk overnight. I also discovered that my window, which opens to a fire escape, was unlocked. I pushed a table in front of the door and barely slept. When I left in the morning there was a man sleeping in the hallway by the stairs on the first floor and still no one at the front desk (this was around 7:45). Since you need your key card to get through the glass door and that card would grant you access to your room he clearly didn’t have a room and snuck or forced his way in.

Clean Noisy, cramped, no elevator, microwave at lobby, ac was not working well.

Don't stay here; it's cheap for a NY stay, but dirty AC barely worked. The bed sheets weren't changed. Checked out immediately right after check-in.

It was a lovely convenient stay. The bathroom layout threw me off initially but got used to it. I didn't have time and unsure if it's something could of been fixed but the plumbing wasn't ideal. Had to flush from inside the toilet and shower only ran cold. The air conditioning was lovely and room in general was pretty clean. The staff were super nice.

Everything went well great for penn station
-
When I arrived I had to wait for 15 mins in the street as there was nobody at reception. Sink in the bedroom part not in the room
-
Decent location but room was tiny and over priced

Don’t bother booking this place unless you like disappointment

TV did not work. Could not plug it in. No wifi. Bad tempered front desk.

The location was just ‘okay’ but in a really bad area where we just didn’t feel safe. I appreciate this hotel was always going to be very basic for the price but it was beyond dirty. I checked out after one sleepless night as was originally meant to stay for three. I was on the fourth floor (no elevator) facing the busy road and I know NY never sleeps but due to the poor windows, neither did I!

Hotel was okay. It was very clean. It advertised flat screen TV and a hair dryer included in the room. When we got back to our room at 8:30 at night the TV didn't work and they told us. Oh yeah there's no TV. You have to somehow hook it up to your phone the next morning we realized there was no hair dryer. Very noisy location.
