Very unique property, garden was pretty, location was convenient. Coffee & fridge in room was a nice touch

The guest house is incredibly special. So beautiful — one of the nicest Airbnb like hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It was a tiny bit creepy for me because I’m pretty sure I was the only one in the house that night so I would caution solo travelers about that. But if you were going with a couple of friends, it would be perfection!

We had a wonderful stay. We eat a light breakfast, and they had everything we needed (oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, a great tea selection) in the kitchen. We parked on the street in front, but there is also a free parking area behind the building, accessed through an alley. It is walking distance to the two squares downtown, and there are several restaurants in a restored warehouse just a block away. We would definitely stay there again if we’re ever in Raleigh.

Love this option for a quick business trip

Other guests we encountered were lovely. We didn't meet any staff, but didn't need any!

Lovely modern, clean rooms & facilities.

This was a lovely place. Clean, spacious, comfortable bed and nice common space.

A great alternative to a big hotel. Immaculately clean w tasteful, minimalist decor. Although we didn't use the attractive parlor or dining room, we did have the breakfast room/kitchen to ourselves. I enjoyed looking out through the glass wall into the cozy but beautiful fenced-in backyard. That is, until the Musak kicked in at 7AM. It WAS very low, but does anyone want to listen to someone else's taste in music that early? I had to retreat back to my room. Pros: Very comfortable bed & linens, quality soaps & lotions, good coffee, great tea selection, automatic bathroom nightlight, super quiet, ample parking. The only negative (besides the lackluster breakfast) was the multiple reminders that it cost $25 to check in early. When traveling, it's hard to judge arrival time, so we walked around in freezing rain killing time til 4pm on the dot. No hotel or BnB does this. A bit off putting for $300.

Empty house- no one to greet us. Our room was very nice

The Guest House was the perfect spot for a quick overnight. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, house and room were clean. Great snacks and common area. Will definitely stay here again!

The split AC units were broken, and given how hot it was, functioning air conditioning was essential. They did add a window unit, but it was extremely loud—sounded like a jet engine—and made it hard to sleep. Speaking of sleep, the bed was very firm, which may work for some, but it wasn’t comfortable for me. The broken wall unit was leaking water near the door, which didn’t feel safe or well-maintained. They did offer to have someone come but I was going to be leaving early again the next morning and really just needed to relax. Another downside was the lack of a TV or any built-in streaming options. You have to log into your own accounts if you want to watch anything, which just feels like an unnecessary hassle for guests. Overall, the space itself looks nice and has kitchen amenities, but it wasn’t worth what I paid—especially considering I didn’t sleep well and nothing was offered to make up for the issues. I rarely get to travel, and this was a work trip that cost me a small fortune, so the experience was disappointing. On a positive note, the location is excellent. It's within walking distance to the heart of downtown, and right across the street is Transfer Co. Food Hall—a fantastic spot with highly-rated food options.

A lovely, relaxing, and very clean environment. Comfortable beds and attractive ambience and a nice selection broke the kitchen would highly recommend. Also a nice patio venue.

An adorable little oasis in an up-and-coming neighborhood. The ease of parking was phenomenal, and the check-in process (spoiler alert: there wasn't one) was the easiest thing on the planet; check your text messages for the code programmed into the door and walk right in! Completely contactless for those who love that sort of thing. If it wasn't for us arriving at the same time as another guest, we wouldn't have seen a single person for the duration of our stay. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and had cute amenities. We were looking to stream a baseball game but needed a code to add the app to the television. All I had to do was text the number I was given, and I received a response within minutes. I think the only thing that could have been better was the speed of the water draining in the bathroom sink; you literally couldn't wash your hands with the faucet running for fear the basin would fill up and overflow; but nothing a quick drain snake or Liquid Plummer couldn't fix. It's an easy walk to The Lincoln Theatre, the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts and Red Hat Ampitheatre. It is definitely on our list for return visits to the City of Oaks.

Nice place. Remodeled very nice. Self-service with many of the items outside of the room - breakfast, etc. but all done very well. Somewhat like staying at a Bed and Breakfast without the host there. The room, the kitchen/dining area, common areas, and back patio were set up very well.

From start to finish, every aspect of our stay was perfect. The reservation process and communications prior, during and after our stay were excellent. Loved all the extra special touches and extensive guest guide with lots of local recommendations. Great location. Very quiet and private. We will definitely be back.
