InTown Suites Extended Stay Richmond VA - Midlothian

Booked a stay here through hotels.com. When I got to the hotel at 6:30pm, my reservation had been “cancelled” somehow. So we were upgraded to a premium room by the man at the front desk. Check in took about 20 minutes somehow. Upon entering our premium room, we saw sticky traps and checked them. They had roaches on them, both babies and adults, some dead and some alive still. There were toenails on the floor from the previous person, the rug in the room was disgustingly dirty. We moved it to put it in the closet because we didn’t want to step on it, and when we did, dirt and other “debris” fell into a pile on the floor. The office closed at 7, so we didn’t get to switch rooms. We cleaned the room ourselves, got some raid, and settled. We didn’t want to bring anything inside because of the German cockroaches, so all of our things had to stay in the heat in the car. After we cleaned the hell out of the room, we for sure saw 90% less bugs. The next morning, we went to the office where the man was supposed to call us when a new room was ready. He never called. We ultimately decided to just stay in the room we were in because we knew it was clean. The man at the front desk tried to be helpful. He was nice, just forgetful? Maybe possibly overwhelmed. The stay was fine other than the initial entry. The people that stay there long term are all nice as well. There’s worse hotels in the area for sure, but I don’t know how it’s even legal for some of these hotels to operate.

I liked the upgraded room. It was much nicer than the traditional room which had roaches. The guests were very friendly. I love that no one can smoke inside the building. I was told that housekeeping would come on Wednesday which never happened. I extended my stay an additional week and was told that housekeeping would come on Monday which didn't happen. The washer stole my $2.75. The couple next door has a toddler who screams and runs up and down the hall during quiet hours. I just took multiple bags of trash to the dumpsters. My bathroom was filthy at check-in. You only get one roll of toilet paper and three hand towels at check-in. You cannot get additional toilet paper or towels.

I really must say the staff and the environment is 5 star.

The extended stay and affordability I thought I would receive ? The fact that the front desk was extremely disrespectful and difficult because she wanted stay outside and smoke. Everything was responded with sarcasm so much I I requested to not stay and cancel so I never recieved a room key but was charged for a stay. Being a veteran this was simply uncalled for and will never think to stay here ever.

The staff was nice the management was excellent the acid any question that you need to answer the people that stays there was very easy to talk to me good location The rent was just too high

Definitely an older worn hotel. The stove in the room didn’t work. But it was decent. Staff and people were nice

Absolutely horrendous conditions. Absolutely do not waste your time.

I liked the affordability of the stay. The desk clerk was very nasty and uninviting. Booked my room through your booking site, but it had roaches. So they moved me to another room with a smaller bed and an indescribable odor that even air freshener couldn't get rid of. We got one round of guest services and also toiletries. People climbing through downstairs windows to get into the rooms. When I went to the desk to get more toiletries I was told the towel toilet paper and things was the only one I could get was when I checked in because I was staying for a week, what! There was no cart to transport heavier belongings to your room. You had to take your own trash out otherwise it would be sitting for your entire stay. Office is closed from 7p-10a. The bed was so small my fiancé could not sleep at the same end I was. Thought I was getting back a $50 clean room fee when I left but that didn't happen. Overall I will never stay here or book any rooms there for future reference. Additionally it was a no smoking hotel but during the night when the office is closed you can smell cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and what I later found out was methamphetamine smelling all over. Just was a bad experience of booking this room. If I could've gotten my money back I would've went to another hotel but it was non refundable so I was forced to stay.
