Amazing place brand new best hotel in San Antonio

Two days later I see a $1350 charge on my card unauthorized by Monarch. I called and after a couple hours I got a hold of a manager Tombolini with and IQ and attitude of a 2 year old. To keep it simple they said we didn’t get paid from Expedia so we’re charging you, I ended up getting double charged from both Monarch and Expedia. Sue the second manager I just talked too is the only competent staff member in that hotel. She told me they will resolve the charges we will see. 4 hours of total hold time. Will not stay here again ever again. Plenty of better hotels in the Pearl district.

Amazing location, vibrant staff, and a beautiful property.

The hotel itself is located just a block away from access to the riverwalk, less than 10 minutes from the Alamo, and right on the Hemisfair park meaning an easy stroll was all it takes to enjoy local scenery, tourist attractions and historic San Antonio.

We had issues with the ac unit at 1am. Someone came up and told us to use the over ride feature and left. Didnt wait to see if the fan kicked on or anything. We gave it 30 min and nothing turned on. Temp only went up. So we called again and got moved to another room at 130am. Btw this was all for our daughters graduation. She loves trying new nice hotels and this night was farrr from relaxing. We all barely slept. Valet parking didn't work via phone qr code so had to do that in person and wait. Fine. Talked to front desk and she offered $10,000 hilton points. So equivalent to about $40-$60. Yea that is not enough to make things right. I wrote Hilton and basically got brushed off. So I am shocked and not happy . Decor is beautiful but they did not do the right thing to make things right for their customer. That is #1 priority.

We love traveling to Riverwalk in San Antonio and this is now our favorite hotel. Absolutely amazing, friendly and accommodating staff. Gorgeous property!

The staff is fantastic!! The spa was wonderful. Where they fall short is their technology and engineering kinks need to be worked out, and the restaurant, in room dining food was ok at best, sometimes terrible but two great items were the salad with green goddess dressing and the chia pudding with passion fruit and pears! They try too hard, too fancy doesn't mean great taste. Also, for this price, it should be organic!! The room key didn't work (more than 3x to set this up right, engineering came in and still didn't work). phone didn't work well. Thermostat didn't work, too hot one night and had to turn it to 63F to get it to be 70F!

Alyssa at the front desk set the tone immediately. Michelle Jacob in concierge went above and beyond, securing us an 8:45 PM 17th-floor reservation @ Aleteo that elevated the entire evening. Nate and Julianna at the restaurant were flawless—attentive, polished, and effortless. Even the valet team was exceptional—consistently accommodating and sharp. Every touchpoint was intentional. This is how hospitality should be done. I’ll be back.
