Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Diego Sea World

Just bad in general. Restroom lock didn’t work and my daughter got stuck in the restroom for over 10 minutes. And so did I.

This is an older hotel with signs of anging and need of some maintenance. The room was clean.with microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot. Location was OK for my destination parking. Lots a little tight if you have a large vehicle.

Nice location but lack of security in the parking lot made my dad concerned about his vehicle safety. I did not see an issue with it but it was not my car. Doors slammed LOUD and would wake me up when people left their rooms.

I liked the location its central and I also like that we got a free parking spot in front of our room coming with breakfast. The room was very big with a refrigerator and working TV but it was a big loud. The staff was not friendly and welcoming also the breakfast was just waffles with syrup and orange juice. Around the area are many homeless people and people on drugs. Even at the breakfast a motel guest was on drugs and annoyed us so we doesn’t felt comfortable at this place.

The staff was very helpful and even let me use their refrigerator for my medication since we arrived super early before our check‑in time. They also accommodated my request for a ground‑floor room once we were able to check-in. Although the room was quite dated, it was tidy and spacious enough for two adults and two children, and the bed and pillows were comfortable too. The location was very convenient -- a super easy 10-15 minute drive to SeaWorld, and traffic was never an issue. There are a lot of food options close by. I would definitley stay again since it was a budget‑friendly and convenient option. The area seemed a little sketchy at night. The hotel is definitely on the older side, and the fixtures and décor showed it. The room door was tricky to open at times, the lock was sticky so it would take a couple trys each time. The shower was a little leaky if the handle wasn't wiggled just right and the hot cold was reversed (hot was cold and cold was hot). The A/C unit worked, but it was old & noisy with inconsistant temperatures. It would cycle on and off throughout the night, so the temperature was alll over the place. There were no USB ports in the room. The breakfast, or lack thereof, was dissapointing. It was coffee, tea, juice, waffles & dry cereal...that's it...no healthier options like eggs, meat, fruit, or yogurt like other hotels. The breakfast area was small and cramped, and the wait was rough since there were only two waffle maker machines, and a lot of guests trying to use them.

The only issue we had, was the guest that was staying in the room next to us, I believe it was room 202, had a dog that would bark constantly throughout the night.

Absolutely nothing Dirty and moldy all around the room I’m surprised they’re still even open with the poor conditions these hotels are in. Bathrooms are moldy on the roof and the blinds on the windows are filthy along with the carpet and pubic hairs in the bathroom. Very poorly cleaned and ran down facility.

the location The room was extremely dirty. The carpets were stained and disgusting to walk on; they looked sticky and poorly maintained. The room had an unpleasant odor, and the beds had bed bugs. It was obvious that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The price was far too expensive for what was offered. The condition of the room was unacceptable, and the overall experience was very disappointing. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was decent. Room was good although a bit smaller than expected.Ample parking and excellent location. Overall a pleasant stay - clean and good value for money. Room size could have been bigger. AC was terribly noisy.
