Springhill Suites San Diego Downtown/Bayfront

Awesome hotel. We loved our stay. Hussain, at check in, was great!! We were stranded from a canceled flight and he was kind and helpful through a very stressful situation.

The staff was refreshing and personable. Excellent location. Within walking distance to attractions and eateries. I would definitely recommend this location.

Rooms can used some fixing but other than that stat was good

Hotel location was ideal - right in front of water - w excellent view . Parking cost although was ridiculous $45.00 per day . There should be a lesser amount charged for staying at hotel guests . The elevator situation was quite odd - so u park in garage and take elevator to 5th floor and then get out and go thru outside bar and into hotel to get the elevator to rooms or main lobby ???since the elevator from parking garage only goes to street level or parking levels or 5th floor. Very inconvenient. !!! Room was nice - we had a corner room - w view of water - but sun shines in all day !! Room gets very hot - even w a/c on . You need a car to do anything out of the downtown area - you can walk boardwalk by water to restaurants and sights . Airport right near by - planes loud till late at night . I had misplaced my air pod case at the 5th floor bar one morning sitting outside w coffee- I went to front desk and front desk individual - could really have cared less - was looking down entire time I was asking if they had found an ear pod case - then looked up and said no - we don’t have them . Not let me take your name and room # and if we find them we will contact you . Disappointed …. The store on 1st floor for snacks and drinks - I was looking for aloe lotion for after sun care - nothing at all . Something to think about selling there - . Along w pool items - goggles - pool floats for the kids ?

Everyone was so helpful and attentive. Not to mention accommodating. Will definitely be bringing my family back to enjoy the hotel again.

It was a great hotel. It was walking distance to the trolley so we didn’t need to rent a car. The only thing I didn’t like was the functionality of the bathroom. While it looked beautiful, the bathroom door was a barn door with no lock and it had a frosted window panel in the middle of the door. My husband went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and the light showed through onto the beds keeping the other occupants awake.

I do think you should have a variety of breakfast meat instead of one choice per day. Overall I Loved it

The room was very clean as were the hallways and elevators. The staff was the highlight. The bar food was so so and the pool water was always a bit cloudy compared to the hotel next door.

everything was very good

Clean room, good location, friendly staff, smooth check in and out. There is complimentary breakfast on 5th floor every morning. Walking distance to USS Midway where we visited because it's so convenient to get there.

All good and the location was excellent with a nice view.
